Still - its a lovely Spring day today, and only my own idleness stopped me putting washing outside to dry. DH is happy in the garden.
Hope as the week progresses you feel less tired and more refreshed with the break. I'm sure you need it.. I agree that zoom, whilst better than nothing, is not the same.

I've been saying to DH that this pandemic is the most boring crisis ever in history . In years to come younger generations may ask us what we did during the great pandemic of 2020/21 and we'll have to say "Nothing, I did my duty and stayed at home." 😕
During the world wars there was a feeling of community and people could do war work to help; they could join the home guard, become a land girl, volunteer to help out with something. During this crisis we're not allowed to get together with others and do community work and all we can do to help is to stay at home and wear a mask at the supermarket 😣.
Doing nothing is the hardest thing sometimes 🤔.

Yes it is really hard not seeing family. I’m lucky that I’m in a bubble with ds and we alternate going to each other’s houses each week. I’m really missing my gks though. The eldest one said she dreamed she’d come to Grandmas and was reading her books and was really sad when she woke up and it wasn’t true 🥲❤️ It’ll be a while yet before we see each other as we have to stay over because it’s so far to travel to see them. I really feel for those that live alone or have children in a flat with no garden. It must be awful.January spends - £587.586

We spoke to DGS via Zoom last week, and we'd arranged that we would have a list of 5 things each to talk about.
Two noteworthy aspects of this:
1. We were told that next time (there's to be a next time - hurray!), Granny should have a list too.
2. Once he got to items 4 and 5 on his list, which were about Minecraft, he launched into a torrent of words that lasted over 35 minutes, and DH ansd I learned more about MC than we could EVER want to know !!!7 -

I think we’ve all felt like you do at some point during this pandemic. It’s almost a year now and it’s getting very wearing. The mornings and evenings are getting lighter though, the vaccine rollout is going well and we’re on the home stretch now. We just need to be patient and stay safe for a little bit longer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

It would be lovely to be able to do something different with a different person wouldn’t it Hairy. It’s like an eternal wheel going around....one day we can jump off the wheel and meet folk again. At least the nights are getting lighter in the evenings so we can poodle around the garden and have an evening stroll to mix things up a bit. Not long until the clocks change either. In a funny sort of way I felt lucky being in hospital as I saw a lot of different people and the nurses came out for weeks afterwards and although the building work got me down I did see the various tradesmen...it kept me going. I can think of better ways than being in hospital though to meet people 😂😂January spends - £587.587
