Yes an extra emergency fund can only be good. I have one too...it’s not secret but in my own name - I’ve only had it this last year ......just in case.....you never know what’s around the corner.
Hooray to extra hours. I bet they’ll take you on as soon as a vacancy comes up 🤞January spends - £587.586 -
I thought of you when they said about the schools closing,I'm so pleased you have kept your TA job, what a relief. I'm another who thinks a secret emergency fund is a good idea, if I had had one when I was with my ex partner I wouldn't have been in such a mess when we split upOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1206

That’s interesting Nicnak. Our school seem to have more children in this time.....(I’m not in but read it via the staff page) we have a lot of Send children and every one of them is coming in this time....they all stayed at home last time.January spends - £587.587

I'm glad you've managed to keep your TA work HHD
Our school have had to tighten the restrictions this time, they had 50% of the children trying to get places."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
Thanks everyone 🙂. I'm delighted about the TA cover as it means I don't lose most of my income 😁.
We had 17% of our children attending today. The figure will probably vary from day to day, as some key workers only send their children to school on the days they are on shift. We've widened our criteria this time, for example MTA's children weren't allowed to attend school in the March lockdown, but this time they are.
I had a good lunchtime and afternoon in school 🙂. All staff were in. Teachers were teaching face to face or online. TAs were supporting face to face teaching or making/organising resources. It was nice to see colleagues again and at least my face mask kept my face warmer 🤣. I was frozen as usual with the doors and windows open 😬.
