If I was a parent with a school age child I’d be be concerned for their well being in cold classrooms. It was -2 at 9 o’clock this morning the children would be like icicles if the schools here were open. You must be freezing by time you get home. Education staff should be high priority in getting the vaccine. Boris Johnstone making an announcement tonight so possible change, as Scotland going into lockdown tomorrow more like it was in March last year.5

. It was a non-pupil day today and staff were told to work from home so I go back tomorrow.

I love knowing I have portions of turkey, red cabbage casserole, chestnut stuffing, and our own spinach and rhubarb jostling for space in the freezer. We even have a little loaf xmas cake as my recipe makes extra.
After March & April last year, no-one dares to get too low on food.
Hope you get some relaxing time the rest of today and that going back tomorrow is not too stressful.. Yes it will all get eaten with five of us in the house.

HHoD - Yes, we noticed that....Mr F said 'When even Jeremy Hunt is sounding reasonable, you know the government has hit rock bottom'. I wish Johnson would dispense with these endless hints that something might happen & just DO IT! How on earth are head teachers supposed to get cohesive plans in place from vague hints? And it must be very difficult for parents not knowing if they can work or whether they will need to either do or find childcare. I think it's a good idea to wear your mask.....I think I would, in your situation. It's that thing of wanting to know that you have done everything possible to defend yourself against the virus, & that is common sense.

Just catching up so I have to say what beautiful photos from your walk. I am envious
I hope you get some relaxation in this evening before whatever tomorrow throws at you. The uncertainty must be so unsettling...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I know I'll have to go to school tomorrow, it's the uncertainty of not knowing if it will be classes of thirty or just key workers and vulnerable children .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Some of my colleagues, who are also parents, are wondering whether to iron their child's uniform or make their packed lunch for tomorrow, or whether to wait until after Boris's announcement.
