Hope school has gone well for you.
Thanks Milann :). It was a non-pupil day today and staff were told to work from home so I go back tomorrow.
I went in to buy bananas, oat milk and bin liners, and ended up spending £87 😳😳😱😱 .
I think this scenario is familiar to everyone, even in normal times ! But it is a nice feeling to be food-prepared, and with 5 people you do actually need it all.

I love knowing I have portions of turkey, red cabbage casserole, chestnut stuffing, and our own spinach and rhubarb jostling for space in the freezer. We even have a little loaf xmas cake as my recipe makes extra.
After March & April last year, no-one dares to get too low on food.

Hope you get some relaxing time the rest of today and that going back tomorrow is not too stressful.
Thanks Elizabeth :). Yes it will all get eaten with five of us in the house.

  • Just catching up so I have to say what beautiful photos from your walk. I am envious :)
I hope you get some relaxation in this evening before whatever tomorrow throws at you. The uncertainty must be so unsettling...
Thanks DIA 🙂. I'm lucky to live in a beautiful area.

I know I'll have to go to school tomorrow, it's the uncertainty of not knowing if it will be classes of thirty or just key workers and vulnerable children .

It is bonkers. Some of my colleagues, who are also parents, are wondering whether to iron their child's uniform or make their packed lunch for tomorrow, or whether  to wait until after Boris's announcement. It beggars belief 🙄 .
This is me.  Little miss is meant to be wearing a costume tomorrow rather than uniform.  I've got a t-shirt I need to decorate.  I'm waiting until after Boris.  If he doesn't close schools it will be a bit of a panic :D
    🤣 🙄 😭
