I remember going to, possibly , Barries in Manchester for school uniform too ! We lived in Bolton at the time, and we went by train. I've a feeling we might have gone in a department store for lunch, as a treat.
Later, we used a school dressmaker.5 -
Our fabric advent calendars. One has pockets for chocolates and the other has decorations that you stick on the tree with velcro. All our decorations are up now including the front door wreath and some other bits and bobs. The Christmas tablecloth is washing to freshen it up so that will be the final touch when that goes on the table 🎅. I feel absolutely shattered now😕 but at least the decorations are finished so I can move on to writing cards and ordering some presents.
Christmas is hard work and sometimes I wonder why we do it 🤔 but it does cheer us up and distract us from some gloomy weather and dark evenings.

I don't put my decorations up for a couple of weeks yet, HHoD, but your advent calendars have motivated me to go & fetch ours downstairs to hang it up ready for Dec1st. After all, I have filled it with chocolates & it's Advent Sunday tomorrow. I'm going to go & do it right now!

Love the advent calendars.I got my uniform from Barries too in St Anne’s Square. I remember being fascinated by the tubes they put cash in and it sped across the shop. My mum commented the prices they charged you’d have thought they’d have enough cash to update the system 😂😂
Bet you’ll enjoy having ds home for Christmas and spoil him rotten. Hope his Christmas present isn’t too much washing 😂😂😂......I remember getting the place Christmas clean....then the washing arrived 😂😂😂😂January spends - £587.586 -

The little tree is so sweet. I bet there are some lovely memories attached to it. We are going into Tier 3 despite levels here being lower than a lot of Tier 2 areas. Oh well it is what it is 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
