  • I managed to get a couple of small Xmas presents in the charity shop and bought some more echinaccea (£11.89 ).

I spent over £13 in Tesco  I got bread, bananas and satsumas plus DH requested grapes and pastries to help him get better! Food prices seem to be going up and up e ery time I visit .

Costalot was so busy that I nearly couldn't find a seat  but my coffee was lovely :D.

I feel a bit tired and rough myself now, but had to clean out the furry moron because his cage was a bit stinky.

We're going to my parents house tonight for takeaway curry as they have some family visiting for the weekend. So DH has offered to wrap up their presents to take whilst I have a shower. It will be nice not to have to cook :).

    Have a good Saturday everyone.

  • Curry sounds good. In fact I might make myself one.

Not so good the cost Echinacea. Being poorly or trying to avoid it always seems costly.

    Take care honey

  • Glad DS is back now and you can at least stop worrying about that.
These bugs going round are really wiping people out at the minute.

We had curry last night too, and I sort of regret it. It wasn't nice at all.

I've noticed that prices have doubled in the supermarkets on some items. I usually buy these onion ring crisps from T co and they are 80p. Always 80p. I went in to get some for my form party and they were £1.50 or three for £3. Even at three for £3 they're 20p more than they were. No wonder people struggle at Christmas for food shopping, or spend hundreds. They put in normal stuff at double the price without realising and rather than check leave it because 'it's Christmas' (I am talking about the previous me here!) but can imagine quite a lot of people do this without fully looking at the bill. x

  • The curry was lovely Pauline, Lucky, redo, SA and Nicnak. My parents are regulars so they gave us a free bottle of wine too :T.

My step sister and her DH were down for the weekend from Wales and I really enjoyed seeing them :). I remembered to give them their presents and a Christmas card too. DS1 came with us, but DS2 and DS3 wanted to do their own thing.

Today I finally have a day when I can write all my Christmas cards and wrap up a few presents. I'm looking forward to getting on top of that.

Apart from that I want to catch up with some laundry and relax with a few Christmas films.

DH seems much better this morning and he was able to eat curry last night. I always know when he's really ill as he can't eat ;). I feel better too this morning, but still a bit borderline so I'm not going to overdo it.

  • I hate it when DH is ill because he has me running around doing things for him. I made him some toast this morning and now he wants me to make him porridge .

An update on BIL by the way. He's finished his radiotherapy and hasn't had too many ill effects. Presumably they are monitoring him to see if it's having an effect on the tumours. He starts chemotherapy in the new year.

  • You lot really are battling the dreaded lurgies but glad to hear things appear to be on the turn. Just try not to wear yourself out over the next few days as it's so easy to overdo things when you start to improve. Does DS2 have an idea how much all the admin and paperwork costs to move overseas?
