Don't know if anyone else is still up and awake at this hour but I can't sleep. Really unusual for me to be awake at this time, I never normally have any trouble sleeping. I'm always up by 6 but although I'm feeling really tired I just can't drift off. Thought I'd visit my favourite diaries and I see there's been 21 new posts on yours, HHOD, since I last dropped in. It's the most popular one I visit!
Just followed ElizabethHull's tip about the best time to book an online supermarket delivery but no luck for me. Nothing at all from Sainsburys for the next 3 weeks.
Sad to read of thefts of food. My SIL phoned me for a chat this evening and told me that an Asda delivery van parked in the street in a town near her was robbed whilst the driver was at someone's house. I fear there'll be many more cases of theft in the next few months. Judging by the antisocial and despicable actions of some people in supermarkets (pushing the elderly out of the way during the special elderly shopping hour, lying about being NHS workers during the designated NHS opening hours, verbally abusing supermarket staff who restrict how many items they can buy etc etc) it looks like to such people care about no one but themselves.
What a Moaning Minnie I am. Sorry. Wishing you all a nice sunny day and the opportunity to get out and enjoy it.6 -
Well I''m still awake Delichon.. OH is disabled/bedridden and days & nights tend to get mixed up or blend together!
It's not so easy to sleep anyway with everything that's going on, and I agree with you about the food thefts (are they just thieving gits or desperate?) I try and focus on the acts of kindness I'm hearing about otherwise it could all just get too much to bear.
