  • I want to apologise again for cluttering up your diary:o, HHOD, but I really needed to get it off my chest and this place with all the lovely people who come here seemed the perfect place to do it.

Thanks to everyone who responded in some way and made me feel so much better:A. It's a new day, a brand new week to enjoy, the sun's shining and I can look forward, just as I always do, to whatever lies in store for me.

The weather in Devon looks set to be really wet this week, HHOD:eek:, so I hope you manage to get some outdoor playtimes.

Wishing you all a good week:beer:

You may be amused to hear that DD2 and I were discussing how it might be possible to siphon off some of DGS's boundless energy as he bounced around the lounge this afternoon. We reckoned 1% each would make a real difference to us and he wouldn't notice it at all !!!
Only a small child can jump up and down on a floor and look like they're using a trampoline !

I think I need at least 100% of his energy the way I feel today Elizabeth :rotfl:. Small children certainly having amazing energy levels, but they sometimes crash and burn like me :rotfl:.

I feel so tired. I shadowed the TA that I'm going to be covering ALL DAY today, as well as doing my lunchtime job! So the only proper break I has was mid morning. Plus it was wet playtime so I had to entertain thirty children inside the classroom . No wonder I feel tired! I've been researching some games to play with them tomorrow in case it's wet play again. Among other things I had them doing exercises today like running on the spot and star jumps :rotfl:.

Luckily I don't have to go in until lunchtime tomorrow and then I'll stay for the afternoon, so I'll be able to have a lie in until 8am :T. I've skipped Pilates again which I feel bad about but I'm already exhausted so I just can't face it :(.

Still at least it's not giving me time to think about my mum or other sad thoughts. I still wish I had an energy tree though so I could give myself a boost :o. Maybe it's because I'm fifty five that I get so tired :( or maybe I just lead a tiring life.

The tiring day I had yesterday didn't help. I do prefer to do my socialising on a Friday night or Saturday so that I can rest on Sunday. Housework is not going to get done today anyway, apart from cooking dinner and putting the dishwasher on afterwards.

I hope other people had better weather and a less tiring day than me :).

  • Hope tomorrow goes well Scrimpees.

Take it easy Hairy. A lot of teachers use a lot of coasting to get themselves through. A game called sleeping bunnies is brilliant for it. Each child puts their head on the desk and pretends to be asleep. The last child to lift their head is the winner. It keeps them silent for around ten minutes! The ones that lift their head help to join in to catch others who open their eyes out. They love it for some reason!

Ooh that sounds like a good game Nicnak, thank you :D. I'll definitely try that one :D.

I thought I could do Blink as well as they seem to love that and maybe some kind of memory game.

Thank you so much for this, Seasidegal:T:T:T. It's really given me some reassurance as it's from someone who's been through something similar. Sorry to hear you have new problems though and hope the latest investigation goes well for you:beer:.

The reason I was/am so worried is not particularly about what they might find as I know that most things these days are treatable but the urgency that the optician added to the situation. The way he went on I felt I should be asking DH to jump every red light and drive us there with his headlights full on and the horn blaring:rotfl:

I have found that when opticians find something then they don't like to wait - they like to get patients referred as quick as possible because the eye clinics have the best equipment for diagnoses.

I hope all goes well for you Scrimpess.

Hairy - I hope you get some decent sleep tonight. Putting off the Pilates until you feel more like yourself sounds sensible to me. A large class of energetic small children would finish me off I think! Well done for coping with them all!:)

If you continue feeling so tired it might be worth a word with the doctor to check iron levels if you continue to feel so shattered, I happened to mention it a few years ago, just in passing at a routine check and they did blood tests and gave me iron tablets for a while which made a world of difference to me.
Hope you enjoy your morning off tomorrow.
