Yes during the 14 day trial you get daily warnings of how many days are left.
Thanks so much for your reply . I can now get rid of the annoying reminders

If you go to Control Panel and uninstall the programme, the option to revert back to the free version is there as an option too!If youcan lie down at night knowing in your heart that you just made someone’s day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day!!0

All I got is an option to remove it completely, so I didn't do it. My Premium trail end in 2 days, so I suppose it's safer to just leave it and put up with the annoying pop ups?0 -
The premium version runs real time scans on your machine rather than you actually having to tell it to scan.
The free version needs to be manually told to scan.
What malwarebytes have done is made the trial of the premium version compulsary when downloading the free version.
Im not surprised because a LOT of people were using this very good tool completely free so you cant blame them for trying to monitise it.
Now you have to understand that there is absolutely no reason to keep this installed if you intend to manually scan (use the free version)
So what to do from now on is download it when you need it, scan your machine and then uninstall malwarebytes.
Repeat next time it is needed..
Keeping the free version installed is of no benefit whatsoever0 -
^^ Of course, yes sorry - i forgot about that feature0

Plus if you keep uninstalling and reinstalling you'll perpetually be on the free trial.0

On badly infected PCs, I've had problems downloading and installing MalwareBytes. But where it's already installed, (even if it can't update itself due to the infection), scans have been able to get rid of enough of the junk to make the PC usable again to fully clean up the infection.
Also, if MalwareBytes isn't running in the background, there's no benefit to uninstalling it each time.
FWIW, I really like the premium version of MalwareBytes. I rarely pay for any software -- and I've never paid for security software before. But it works well, has a simple interface, doesn't slow down or otherwise interfere with normal PC use, and eliminates the need for an antivirus.0 -
Malwarebytes now allow you to run the Free version which never expires, ie it's not a trial version.0
