Selling an electronic voucher safely

Hi, not sure this is the ideal board but you guys are so good at this sort of thing hope you can help.

I have an electronic voucher, in the form of a code and passcode.
I have checked with the company and its fully transferable.

If say, I wanted to sell it to another member here, how could I do it safely?

If they sent me the money first via paypal they would have to trust me to send a valid code (or anything!), of course I will but if it were me not sure I would send a stranger money..

Likewise, if they sent money and then I sent the codes, could they claim they were fake and do a chargeback, so ending up with both?

Is there any sort of escrow method so money could be paid but held until the buyer is happy the codes are valid? but then they have the codes and could claim were fake... arghh!!!

Any suggestions? the people I have spoken to seem genuine seasoned long term members so I really want to do us both a favour.

sorry to resurrect my own post but I have a question now related to Ebay.

I have seen that people successfully sell these vouchers on Ebay but most list them as collection only and say they will just forward the codes by email to the seller.

From what I see here this leaves them vulnerably to chargebacks as there is no proof.. I plan to list my voucher but insist on delivery and sending the code printout by recorded delivery letter.

That should be sufficient? treat it like any other goods sale?

As with anything you sell, there is always a risk if you are sending an item.

If I buy your voucher I can still open a "case" for SNAD. I could receive it and spend it, then claim it had nil value. Or you could send me a voucher with nil value.

The safest option is to sell it face to face where the cash/code/voucher can be verified in person.

I have considered this but its hard to verify on the spot without calling Easyjet which can be a difficult at the best of times.

I suppose if it came down to it I could get evidence from Easyjet it was valid or it had been used by the recipient to defend a case.

Perhaps I will try touting it locally on my Facebook first see if anyone I know is interested.

Ebay / Paypal do not care about all that. They want proof of delivery for not received claims and will refund the buyer for not as described claims.
The seller tends to lose.

Buyer claims item is not as described and they get a refund. So the buyer uses your code and claims it didnt work and they get a refund in full from you.

If you want your money back you will probably need to chase them through the courts.

Easyjet voucher? Are you 100% sure its transferable? Their website seems to suggest vouchers are not transferable.

I have screen grabs of 2 Facebook chats with 2 Easyjet advisers who confirmed it was fully so.

Looking back at other ones on Ebay completed sales, those sellers also posted email correspondence images whereby Easyjet confirmed it was transferable.

I think your thinking of pre-pay vouchers. I have a credit refund voucher (from their price promise system).

I personally would be very wary. I have had bad luck with some buyers and wouldn't be surprised if someone bought it, spent it, then claimed it had nothing on it
