I am being blinded by jargon so please help me!
We are getting Sky Q installed and to make sure we can use all the features we need a new TV. If I list what it has to have can somebody please recommend a few that would be suitable because I cannot see any of these things on the specs.
50 frames per second (minimum)
HDMI 2.2HDCP
UHD
4K
2160 pixels
MHL
Someone could make a fortune if they sold TVs saying SKY Q compatible!!

Do you want curved or a traditional flat TV ?
What kind of budget are you looking at ?
Mid range eg £500/£600 or top end eg £1000+
What screen size are you after ?
I could be wrong but I believe 50 inch plus is better for 4K TV's.0 -

Sky Q comes in two versions HD and 4k. Are you actually getting the 4K version?
I paid £2k for my LG 4K OLED TV, and would recommend it anytime.0 -
Richer Sounds and have a look at the variations in TVs .0

4K and ultra hd are the same thing. If you want to benefit from that any 4k/ultra hd tv would get it. There is no 4k channel but sky do have some sports, movies and tv shows in 4k but you must have the relevant package to get them. For example want to watch premier league football in 4k then you will need a sport subscription.
You need to note only the main box is capable of 4k, the mini box for your bedroom can't do more than normal hd. You would need to ensure in the audio visual settings that 2160p is set to get 4k. The mini box does not physically connect to the dish, it gets tv from the main box via your wifi router.0 -

Why would you want to use "all the features"?0 -
Thanks for all your replies. We want a flat screen not a curved and want the size to be 55 inches (or perhaps 65 depends on the price). We want to spend less than £2K if possible.
We will be having the top of the range for everything i.e sports package and box sets we are also "VIP Sky Customers" as of yesterday. I only rang to ask for a new remote and after talking to them our bill will be £18 a month cheaper and we will have the Q box in multi rooms, we already had multi room and the full Sky package.0 -
Everybody is a Sky VIP customer of some sort, whether you've been with them for a week or ten years. You start off with a free movie and eventually work your way up to free SkyQ installation I think. I hope you at least got that.0

Yes we did get a free installation and will be saving £18 a month from what we are paying now. Plus credit to spend in the Sky Store.0 -

Something you may not have considered (maybe you have) is the base of the TV, some come with 2 feet at the 2 ends of the tv, some with a base in form or other. Just make sure whichever 1 you get your unit is wide enough for the new set.0
