Evening VfM4meplse
Look mate, we all fall by the wayside occasionally - enjoy the shirt to the full
I have a bright red jacket I bought once, in such a mood! My kids call it the 'go forth and replicate' (but ruder words) red jacket and when I go to any official meeting wearing that jacket - they laugh and say that the person opposing me in that meeting is really really in for it! :rotfl:
So what can you constructively do? Someone once said to me that success was preparation meeting opportunity! So what if this one falls through - it wasnt meant to be. The universe has something better lined up for you. So get ready for it. Even if you dont want to pack:
1) get rid of carp you dont want to keep NOW! (you 'll still move with some - I guarantee it! I did !)
2) line stuff up ready to be packed. Have stuff organised in groups in drawers etc - not all over the place - especially know where your paperwork (car mot/insurance/id etc etc) is.
3) get all the equipment for packing -Large permanent markers - packing tape - scissors (see lists above) - friends lined up to help
So when opportunity comes knocking you will be ready!:j
As I said - chin up mate - tcAim for Sept 17: 20/30 days to be NSDs  NSDs July 23/31 (aim 22) :j
NSDs 2015:185/330 (allowing for hols etc)
LBM: started Jan 2012 - still learning!

Not good news today
Feel overwhelmed by everything, can’t think straight with a blinding tension headache to boot. Am hoping some sleep will help sort things out for me.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I let myself think about other things today and felt a lot more detached as a result. Another night’s sleep will help I think. This whole situation feels like my very own Brexit!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Well it’s been a rocky road so far - and I’m far from the end - but am getting there. There’s still a lot of paperwork to be sorted, but I have a much clearer idea now of what needs to be done and in what order after I exchange (and have a target date for this now). Will leave the packing until then but as you have pointed out, there is no reason not to declutter now!
Thanks all for your ongoing support. There’s nothing like an OSer to offer sensible advice!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I’ve spent a blissful two days looking after my dear little niece and was expecting to hang on to her until tomorrow, but a change of plan means she was whisked away with an hour’s notice. I miss her incredibly, it feels weird having the house so quiet again.
The reality of just how empty I will find life without seeing her every day has hit home. It doesn’t matter what I fill my time with, I can’t see this gap being filledValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I have sketched out what's going to happen and when now. My mum will be visiting towards the end of next week and then the decluttering will begin.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Maybe start packing books - after all, you do have one or two don't you?!
Seriously though, start to sort stuff like summer clothes, bedding & towels, cupboards under stairs & under kitchen sink...also, shed, garage, garden etc. It all takes longer than you think it will.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
