As dealers on Autotrader want around £15K, there is probably an "optional" £5000 payment somewhere that is missing...

    £280 per month for 42 months = £11,760

That's the total cost of the monthly payments, not the price of the car.

You could buy a Bugatti Veyron for £280 a month for 4 years, does that mean it also costs £11,760?

Apparently zero deposit, no mention of if there is a final balloon payment.

The definition of "buy" seems to have changed recently.

People seem to think that "hire/rent/borrow" is somehow the same as "buy".

I still live in the 1960s, and "buy" means I own the thing at the end of the payments. ;)

If the question is actually "Does handing over £11700 to borrow a car for a while seem like a good deal, then my answer is no. :D
