I seem to have driven nearly 100 miles today. How does that work when all I have done is run errands?? New lightbulbs bought, so kitchen can now be seen in all its mucky glory.
Ironing pile demolished.
Dinner sorted, WUDUPA, and kitchen s&s.
Toilets and basins cleaned. Glad I didn't clean the shower as tonight it broke. Seems that the element has gone. I am adding it to the long list of Things That Need Sorting Out. And I'm eating cake.0 -
Evening
Dailies done
Spanish lessons done
Bank accounts checked and informed of holibobs
Today was a bit of a parson's egg. Switched lappy on this morning and it turned itself off after about twenty minutes. It all seemed really hot, though it's on a little stand to keep the fan cool, and wouldn't switch back on. So I left it off and open to allow it to cool down.
DH gave me a lift into town on his way to work and I bought a few bits before heading to the surgery for my tests. Good news as my blood pressure is back to normal (will have to wait until next week for bloods results).
Back to shops to get a book for DS's birthday pressie and some cs books to take on holibobs. I read them there and then donate them to DS's library - managed to get five for £4 on offer.
Also managed to get some euros at increased rate of 1.10 to £1 - a slight improvement on a couple of weeks ago.
A couple of other shops and then to the bus station. Well - it absolutely chucked it down ! I mean like a monsoon  Still raining when I got home and so was soaked - jeans still on dryer.
Lappy was sitting looking forlorn and I had an . Fetched the hand-hoover and, holding it over a sheet of newspaper, gently hoovered both sides of the lappy. Holding my breath, I switched it on and voila !! Fingers xd it's solved - not hot atm.
Hugs to all, sticks and spoons if you need extra
Hope you all have a super Thursday

- [STRIKE]Clear out your trousers/skirts[/STRIKE]
Thought I'd update the flylady lists even though I'm working off list this week.
Clearing out trousers/skirts was easy as I have hardly any clothes. DD1 and I joined WW in March and I've lost nearly 4 stone. DD1 refused to let me keep any of my big clothes "just in case" so they all went to be weighed in, giving me enough money for one new pair of jeans
I'm still finding it hard to see myself as any smaller. I only kinda realised when I went to my bosses birthday party and her husband asked why I was wearing a baggy jumper. It wasn't meant to be baggy
Will start on more jobs once DD2 is up and alive, I have to say she's been very helpful the last few days. She's not normally.

Morning All
DH is doing school and pre-school runs - he always seems to wonder what the fuss is about them so i thought he could have a go today seeing as he's off work
Pretty pleased with what I have achieved so far. DW on, second load of washing on, beds made. I am decluttering a cuppa then off to the paid stuff for 2 hours. Re-homed yet more toy-related kibble from the LR (can I bin various McDs happy meal emoji soft toys without it being noticed do you think) and plan to load some of our DVDs into Ziffit later on.
Texted best pal and asked her if she wants to call in on her way home from work this evening for a quick vino and a catch up - her reply YEEEESSSS PLEASEEEEE! :rotfl:

 Hmmm..... I wonder if this idea could be adapted to make poo-picking after dark a bit easier - you get the idea, head-torch on, scan garden, and home in on the sparkly bit. :rotfl:Jojo_the_Tightfisted wrote: »ETA: Glitter in the tea? Better be careful or you'll be like the Idiot Cat, who had sparkly disco poos for three days after stealing some cake icing made with edible glitter.
Valli well done on getting back on track. I keep trying to lose the weight i gained when the GP tried me on Gabapentin, but it seems stubbornly reluctant to shift.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thanks for all the hugs. Friend is now home, we went to see her last night. Seems no secondaries but all her scans have been sent to a specialist hospital so she is awaiting news from them as to what they will do next.
Mr N and I did some team serious flying yesterday, he dusted and vacuumed pretty much everywhere while I blitzed the kitchen then continued decluttering my office. Still progress to be made in the office but it is heaps better (or fewer heaps) and beginning to feel encouraged.
Went for my longest run this morning, still not up to 5km yet but have broken the 4km so pleased.
Some garage sorting to be done now as Mr N has found himself a winter retirement project rebuilding an old motor bike, currently in 7 boxes at its owners home until we have space. Much of the clutter is my flower arranging stuff, so that needs sorting and putting away more compactly.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I'm supposed to be cleaning bathrooms today but spent the morning mooching at the shopping centre with mum and micro-baby
she bought me a toastie as a thank you for babysitting...
I did back up my photos earlier though, and sorted out my college files. Have also got kits together for tonight, and will find something warm for me. Will take some cash in case the tuck shop is open, I owe one of the football mums a coffee.
Just having a breather then I'll go fill my bucket and get the rubber gloves on...Bossymoo
