  • Just checking in....

Work done, Ziffit items loaded and boxed up (£11 for 10 minutes work, not too shabby at all), hall and downstairs toilet floors hoovered and mopped. Will get dinner on shortly - leftover spag bol with garlic bread so nice and easy.

    Have pleasant evenings all x

Lordy it's cold out there! Really glad I sorted hats and gloves for the car. Both kids having a warm bath now and the heating is on.

I did clean the bathrooms in the end, using my new folding bucket (!) although not much else has been achieved today. I still haven't properly sorted my wardrobe - need to find my warmer clothes!

Might make a start and tackle a drawer now...

Busy day at work, but at least it was productive.

Bedrooms dusted, DD's bedding changed and washed. Just about dry now. Shower cleaned.

I also need to dig out some warmer clothes and my boots. I lurve my boots, so they will be in regular action now until about next Easter at least.

 Hmmm..... I wonder if this idea could be adapted to make poo-picking after dark a bit easier - you get the idea, head-torch on, scan garden, and home in on the sparkly bit. :rotfl:

    :(

This made me laugh out loud and reminded me of our daft ginger cat who once ate the long strands of glitter ribbon on our daughters cheerleading pom pom. All was well until until pink and silver strands started to protrude from his bottom! Once the vet stopped laughing she slowly pulled them out as they were worried it could strangle his bowel...as it was a first for her she didn't charge us :rotfl:

I've been so off list this week it isn't true. Lots of work, getting DD sorted for uni and generally piddling about doing stuff. House is generally ok but I need to wait and see what is left when she goes as I'm not sure what's her bags of 'stuff' and what is ours! I'll get there :o

    Morning ladies!

    I have no ironing. *glow*

Laughing lots over sparkly glitter poo. You lot are hilarious!

Must go to the gym today. Wimped out when my plumber arrived unexpectedly to carry on with more work yesterday. Downside was I got to hear an altercation between two of the builders  Boss turned up and one guy sent to another job to cool down. My flood wall needs to be built please!!!

DH was away in Reddich for work last night, so bed to myself...and the cat...needless to say, he got the best spot.

    Hugs to all x
  • Morning all,

Fell asleep watching Poirot on the Ipad last night, very annoyed not to find out whodunnit :D

3 hours paid stuff today, and promised DD a McDs for tea as a treat she's so excited :)

Will do some bits of admin and, if I can be bothered, polish the living room. Have great days all xx

    Hello!

Think I've just lost about 2hrs replacing the window film on one patio door... Unwittingly I used an adhesive one last time - yikes! What a mess getting it off! Thankfully the new went on very easily, it's a static one so I hope it doesn't slide off in the sun! I've only done one pane as I realised after cutting, that the rolls were 1.5m not 2m. So I don't have enough to do the other side. Looks great, though! Will do the rest on Monday.

Also made soup, stuck a wash on and wiped down the kitchen. I've filled the sink with hot water and sloshed in some cranberry and orange z0flora, omg the house smells lovely, and no trace of my whiffs French onion soup :rotfl:

Next job after lunch is hang the washing up, take some bits upstairs that are blocking my way ;) and vac the hall, LR, kitchen and DR.

Then my reward will be a posh coffee and a sit down with my book.
    :D

Lappy was sitting looking forlorn and I had an . Fetched the hand-hoover and, holding it over a sheet of newspaper, gently hoovered both sides of the lappy. Holding my breath, I switched it on and voila !! Fingers xd it's solved - not hot atm.

I had never heard of this Lynne - what a great idea! I've always been too scared to vacuum the keyboard so will try this next time!

Otherwise have Vimmed kitchen sink; sorted, folded, washed, hung out, etc three loads of laundry and will be glad to get it finished. I'm an MK follower in recent years but miss the daily shunts in the right direction so have been loitering on this thread too. Am feeling a little bit traitorous as I loved Flylady for years and then fell off the wagon in time to find MK. I've found MK to work better for decluttering but Flylady is still the business for keeping on top of the daily stuff, especially cleaning as that's my most hated task ...
