    I understand that Tim has been going round some of his pubs and during the visit saying the beer is too expensive.
    One near us that was more expensive has dropped to £1.99. from £2.30-£2.50

    I heard my local may be getting a reduction as well but no price point mentioned yet.

    Interesting thread. Along with haircuts, beer still shows a north-south price divide.

    In our local in south London its now £5+ for a pint of something like Peroni!

    I think the original post should have stated a pint of what.

    It's probably £5+ a pint of Peroni in most pubs, it will be in mine, but a pint of proper beer is £3.40

    £2.80 for most pints in Poulton le Fylde {near Blackpool}, then again on week days you can get a pint of John Smiths for £2.20, having said that, in Cleveleys you can get a pint of Samuel Smiths {decent beer} for £1.60 !!!
