First spend of Oct yesterday, £12.55 in Morries, 3 jars of coffee @£4 and t.v. mag 55p, paid for coffee with 2 £5 vouchers, BUT, had deducted that £10 from damage limitation end Sept, so can`t count it twice.
Do I need it or just want it.
  • £15 spent on macadamia and cashews yesterday....should get a minimum of 3 loads of 'goats' cheese from that though (1st one made this morning)....

I have raided the fridge and made enough food to keep us going tor the next couple of days at least, plus I have checked the store cupboards and freezer and think I can probably do the rest of the month pretty cheaply!! ;):D

Oh what a nuisance, I thought I had some more bread in the freezer but no, so today another £1.10 to add to my spends for a farmhouse loaf, no distractions though straight to the bread aisle then checkouts, halo intact :A

I bought enough food this week to last for meals all week; meals are planned and as follows:

Wednesday - Taken out for dinner
    Thursday - Beef Stew
    Friday - Fishcakes
Saturday - Bfast: Full English, Dinner:Risotto

Total spends so far this month = £71.70 on food + £3.60 train ticket.

The theatre was nice last night. My friend bought the dinner - we take turns - so all I spent was £5 buying a round of drinks and the admin fee for the tickets themselves (show film first).

Back to work today and I remembered to grab my pack-up. About to heat up the leftover portion of tangine for dinner and I even successfully resisted buying a coffee at work, so today has been my first NSD of the month :D

Total spends so far this month = £76.70 on food/drink + £7.60 for 'Social' stuff.

    Plan
Breakfast Porridge and frozen/dried fruit + Banana

    Lunches
    [strike]One 'free' Sunday lunch [/strike]
[strike]Baked potato with beans and cottage cheese[/strike]
    [strike]Soup-n-Sarnie[/strike]
Thurs - Baked potato with beans and cottage cheese
    Fri - Soup-n-Sarnie

    Dinner
    [strike]LO Beef stew[/strike]
    [strike]One 'free' pre-show dinner[/strike]
[strike]Tangine style meal with aubergine and sweet potato[/strike]

    Thurs - Roast turkey dinner
    Fri - An eat-up/leftover day

    Snacks
    Flapjacks x 2 :o
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

    Hello everyone,

I have moved to a flat and DS3 has gone to uni, so the household consists of me, two cats and a crested gecko.

Sorry I am late with my budget Coxy and Zippy, but please could you put me down for £125 for 1st-31st October.

I have not been keeping track of my food spends over the last two months but have managed to stock up the freezer and cupboards. I also took advantage of a Sainsb online order offer (£20 off a £60 spend and free delivery) to get a supply of cat litter and cat food. Anything left over at the end of this month will go towards the next order which should be due towards the end of November.

First spend has been £35.91 at Ald+ and 50p for an end of the day loaf from the baker.

My total stands at £68.13 for week 1 with today been the last day of the week and I am not expecting to spend anything. This is a very low spend for us and actually includes £11.40 on a fast food McD breakfast and £15 DH spent on a takeaway and lunch when I was away this week.

I was hoping for a much lower spend this coming week but we are out of coffee, dog food, laundry capsules, hair dye and dishwasher tablets which have added £25 to the bill.

At least I am home next week so will make DH lunch so he doesn't spend anything extra and I can live put of the cupboard and fridge.

I have done my meal plan, checked the freezer and cupboards, written my list and it comes to £53 odd with Asda. I am shopping at Asda instead of Aldi this week as I need branded coffee, hair dye and GF wraps.

I will need to have a cheap week next week to keep on target.

    Next Weeks Meal Plan

Friday - SW Chicken and Chorizo Spanish Rice
Saturday - Cheesy Chicken and Bean Enchiladas and spicy wedges
Sunday - Sausage and mash, kale, carrots, cauliflower, gravy
Monday - SW slow cooker spicy pork and rice
Tuesday - SW Veggie pasties, mushy peas and SW chips
Wednesday - SW Sausage and bacon pasta bake (HM) using SW chorizo style sausages
Thursday - Veggie lentil chilli and wedges

Breakfasts - cereal, bananas, toasted bagels (jam or cream cheese)
Lunches - sandwiches, soup, beans on toast, eggs, fruit, yogurts, crisps, HM chocolate brownies, curly wurly or malt loaf
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
  • Yesterday OH spent £2.30; appletizer and bread.
I spent £2.52 in shops on onions, bananas, cucumber and lemonade. Also 'spent' £3.05 on a tub of nutritional yeast. I buy this bulk but haven't put it in any month budget so will 'buy' one whenever I open one. So total for me yesterday was £5.57.

Yesterday I made a vegan frittata using chickpea flour, some left over cooked potatoes, 2 small onions and some nutritional yeast in my multi cooker, used white rice setting. Had with fine beans, half a tin of beans and a smidge of vegan pesto. Will have the same today but with more veg.
Yesterday OH had tinned soup with toast.
Earlier I set my multi cooker up to do porridge using most of the apples, some cinnamon and almond milk. That has just beeped to say it is done. Need to decant into containers for weeks breakfasts.

    Bulk - £67.57.
    OH - £12.56/£56.43. £46.17.
    Me - £7.44/£31. £23.56

    Over all budget.
    £87.57/£155.
    £67.43 left.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

Had an email telling me I have won a £100 Amazon voucher, filled in a survey from my energy supplier, must have been a boring day, will keep bulk toward Christmas pressies, every little helps.
Do I need it or just want it.
