Froggygirl,
There are a host of deals and different phones out there. You need to figure out how much you are spending at the moment and how that works out (texts v calls v other services). What your realistic budget for a contract is. What you'll use the phone for, how much you'll use it (texts and calls ). Which network is best for where you'll do most of your calling.
If you've been happy with your current payg provider I'd give them a chance to reward your loyalty by coming up with a good deal, comparing it with others and then going with the best option. I'd also mention to other providers that you're thinking of going on contract and see which one bites best!
There are so many deals it's a question of deciding which is best for you... and just as importantly which isn't ( eg don't get stuck with a "good deal" on a network with poor cvg in your area that you won't be able to use much).
Good luckJust because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0 -
If you have good "3" coverage in your area (see this board for some who don't!) this looks quite a good deal.

£18 gives you Nokia 6120
500 mins/texts which you can "mix n match" however you like
or 300 mins/texts for £15.Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0 -
What about the N95? Is it worth it as the main feature i like about it is the satnav?
Ive also looked at the blackberrys and the e61 but i dont think i need a full office phone just to check my emails?I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0 -
The Nokia 6120 should be ideal for using the internet.. it has hsdpa which 3 are rolling out throughout their network so you should get fast mobile browsing without the massive hole in your pocket that the N95 will leave!
Bear in mind that using Satnav/internet browsing will seriously rinse battery life, especially on the N95.
As unsure mentioned you need to decide how many minutes you will be using a month, the 3 offer is quite good seeing as they throw in free msn/skype (5000 mins). For mobile brwsing you could get the xseries add on for an extra £5 per month. With three there is Quidco available and £30 recommend a friend (pm me if you dont know anyone already on 3)SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250 -
6120, skype running & msn messenger for 16 hours and battery is still full bars - impressive compared to the N95
6120 on three is a great ( mix n match 300) 15pm, great little phone with high speed data, loading internet pages is quick quick quick @ 2.8MBPS & thats faster than most broadband connections at home via landline, 300 texts or minutes so if you need to make a call then your always with your 300 units @ 15pm, 500 units is 18pm - I got 300 and free 6120, you can upgrade plan to 500 for another 3pm ( if i need too if my usage starts getting higher), but downgrading plans is cough cough, 25 quid per change !!!!, using the 3mail application I believe is free ( unless im corrected lol )SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0
