I'm with Natwest and luckily I've never had an email like that - if I did I'd delete it instantly.

Natwest say they will never ask for your bank details, full customer ID and password for online banking - just random letters from it. So anything that asks for these is a scam.

Oh, and of course you get them purporting to come from the Inland Revenue as well these days:
