Evening All,
Silly busy day - paid stuff, school runs, argument with school about after school clubs and total lack of communication  yada-yada-yada!
Have managed to do several laundry loads though, and just got a 90 degree empty wash on with a cleaner thing my mum bought me.
DD in the bath, DS refusing one because his finger hurts  so he's watching Angry Birds in his PJs. Early nights all round I think.
I would LOVE to come to a Flylady meet, I am rubbish at organising stuff but would be there like a shot. I'm the blonde lass sat at the bar! xMFW

Milly & Mia have been for their visit, and Mr LW cooked our dins cos I was too shaky.
Quick visit to wish fine weather and all good things for The Wedding to Mrs MP and family. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
My dear friends, I would so love to get to grips with this phobia; to give you an idea, Mr LW and I met up with 2 friends that Mr LW has known for almost 30 years and I've known for 15 - we all used to play Dungeons & Dragons at C's house, and it was to commemorate 10 years since C trundled off to the Summerlands. I coped OK with D&D because I wasn't "me", I was (variously) Hazel Nutt, Fionnuala Na Yallochan, Lyssa Blackthorn, Stella Artois, Estsanatlehi and several others I can't call to mind just now...... you get the picture.
Anyways, I bluffed my way through the evening at the pub, but spent the next 48 hours dealing with the "fallout" - reliving the entire thing, going over every tiny bit of conversation to work out what I said/did that was stupid/offensive/otherwise inappropriate - the whole nine yards. I do this every time I have to deal with Other People. I believe it ultimately comes from a very strong self-loathing on my part.I don't like me, so I can't imagine how anyone else could possibly like me.
Blighter's on a roll just now, if you ask me!
I'd better put in a Flying bit I suppose - Mr LW has been hoiked off the bed (he was reading) and told to dust the lounge, as we have Milly & Mia coming with their humans for a socialisation visit this afternoon - one of them (I thought it was Milly, but from my notes, I think it's actually Mia) doesn't settle easily away from their humans, so they're coming for a couple of short visits before their holiday. They're due here at 14:00. Mr LW will be on tea-making duty.
Why worry about what other people might or might not think - they're only people - when you have already been assessed and found simply wonderful by tons of dogs?
People have lots of good and bad qualities - but they are immensely hampered by their lack of fur, paws, snuffly noses like velvet, floppy or pointy ears and no waggy tail.
I trust an animal's opinion of a person over and above a human's. Especially when Himself told me that when they separated, his cat stayed with the Harpie because she chucked him onto the street (in favour of somebody who had a fancy car, lots of money and fitted the image of how she wanted to be seen), so he couldn't take it - and was promptly rehomed a few weeks later after it started sneaking into her wardrobe and ****ting in her incredibly expensive shoes.
So if you ever want to talk about dogs and any other animals, rather than yourself or any subject you *think* might offend, let me know and I'll hop onto a direct train to the land of the concrete cows for a couple of hours. You can also email a checklist/critique of how you think it went (and I'll reply with suitably unequivocal replies like 'Not offended' 'You made me laugh with that story about x dog' 'I agree' if it is what you need to be reassured).
********
Himself is on his best behaviour this evening. He decided to try and talk to me once we went to bed. Thankfully, my insomnia didn't kick in and I promptly fell asleep during the first half hour of his wibbling.
Was in class for a whole lesson today. They have been primed to do as they're told where the expensive equipment is concerned, as I know where they all live. They're still impressed that they're getting trusted to touch the expensive equipment for their course, especially as they now know I take disrespecting it as a hanging offence and I pointed out that, this time next year, the kids in the other class (the so called high achieving ones - didn't say that, but it's blatantly obvious to the kids in my class that they are not in that category) will be looking to them as the experts and needing their help. And then I spent the afternoon sorting out sound for an event and then pottering around fixing things.
I enjoyed it. But, oh, how tired I am. But IT'S FRIDAY TOMORROW! I survived a week and they're still being nice to me!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I have had a massive fail today!!On a mission0

Rubbish day today. Plans started going awry about, oh let's say 8.30am to be generous. LW, amongst all you other fabulousness, could you sort out Loki for us?
Anyway, just a quick visit to wish lots of loveliness for Mrs MP and her family for tomorrow. Including good weather. X0 -
I just picked the biggest lump of pink fluff out of the inside of my bedsock... why do they shed so?!?!?!
Jojo.. I quite agree.. if a million dogs love you then you must be worth loving because they don't understand anything but love or un-love.. they know who has their back and who will be there for them, they aren't just ruled by the person with the biscuits.. they know when you are sad and when you are happy... omg.. dogs are santa (I actually typed satan then.. oops lol) they know when you are sleeping, they know when you're awake, they know if you've been bad or good so be good for doggies sake!!!
Ya know what.. I am going to find uniforms now.. I'm going to draw on OH's lunch box and I am going to my nest BEFORE midnight... I've been going up at 2am every night and I am floofed!
Head lice reported in Dot class already.. day freaking three!!!! It is vile.. some dirty minger has not debugged their child over the whole of the holidays! They should be reported for neglect!! it is disgusting! Poor little childIt's so sad.

Morning lasses - TFIFriday!
Worktops are in. Hoo-blooming-rah! Look great and I'm super pleased. I can now start refilling all the cupboards with my boxed kitchen carp that is currently being stored upstairs in the house. Flying will be concentrated on these rooms until it's all sorted. Need to get a new kettle and drawer dividers. Oh, and some new tea towels (already purchased the new copper-coloured pans), spice jars, as having mismatched ones is somehow unthinkable now, and.....very exciting...
LW - you love dogs and they love you, therefore you and I would be friends IRL. Fact.
See you all later x0
