Loose change is now going into the big marmite jar towards the latest bucket list trip. £2 coins already go into a terramundi for our mega "first trip when we retire" fund.

£10 Amazon vouchers received from SB last night - they are building up towards things for the new house.

The Christmas tree is down, a bag has been taken to the Charity shop and another is part filled. I've sorted out the box of wrapping paper and cards etc - we won't need to buy cards for any occasion this year as I seem to have everything from new baby to 80th birthday cards.....!

Meal plan for next week is complete, a basic shop done and receipts scanned to various apps including shopmium.

Oh, and another spin class successfully tackled. The hip is holding up nicely so far!

Monday here again! Over the weekend we've done a fair bit (well, it feels like that, anyway!)

    Organisation
    - towels cupboard sorted and all the scratchy worn out ones have been put to other use (for cleaning skis etc) or thrown out.
    - DVDs and CDs sorted and a box ready for ziff!t. Another bag for me to take to the charity shop at lunchtime.
    - one run to the Charity shop and another to the tip complete.
    - 3 more sample size tubes/pots of toiletries emptied. Only another 3458975625 to go!
    - a tin of soup got used from the cupboard (this is a real success!)

    Money
    - £11 ish requested from Pr0lific
    - £38 ish from z!ffit (assuming they accept everything I am sending)
    - supermarket shop was minimal as we continue to eat out of the cupboards and freezers. Quarter pounders with pulled pork and HM sweet potato wedges for dinner tonight. Bagel with pate for lunch. Should be a NSD, as was yesterday.

That's about it I think - I think we're getting on top of things. It certainly doesn't feel as scary as it might do!

    Have a good week!

Another £10 request put in from SB last night, plus a £3 withdrawal from receipt hog....that one has been a slow burner, but I finally got to a payout for really no extra effort, so I'll happily take that.

85p from shopmium received, plus some more that has been approved and is waiting to reach my bank account. The grocery budget is doing ok this month with that and continuing to eat out of the freezer and the cupboards. I will need to buy a couple of bits at lunchtime, but nothing too expensive, so the good work continues.

Two more bags of CDs and DVDs for the charity shop, and two more boxes of potentially tradable ones to be sent off to ziff!t. Anything we get from these goes into the bucket list fund. Plus, it all helps with the general decluttering and getting ready to move. Win/win!

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

And so another week comes to a close - time is flying by. I am a third of the way through my notice period at work and we are already half way through January!

We've been busy sorting and clearing in the house. This will continue when DD moves into her own place this weekend and we can have a real move around of furniture , turning her bedroom into a study and spare room and liberating space of bookshelves and printers etc that have been housed elsewhere.

Moneywise, spends have been relatively low. The freezer is almost empty enough to defrost, the food cupboard stores are still being utilised (not quite at the stage where I am making lentil soup, but not far off it!). Free money still trickles in steadily. I'm been making good use of Shopmium and all the cat food this month has been refunded in full.....Swagbucks is continuing to do me well. I've had £30 from them already this month and almost at another £10, so nice and steady. I'm starting to look more at cashback from casino/gambling sites through TCB etc too, where the cashback available exceeds the deposit required. It's quite a wait to get the cashback through on these, but it seems a reasonable gamble to take, and hopefully there will be future offers in my inbox that I can take advantage of, relatively risk free, from time to time.

TGI Friday, though - it may be flying by but it is tiring! I think a small G&T may be in order this evening.....happy Friday everyone!

Thank you! The weekend flew by, although we got lots done. Most importantly, DD is moved into her new place and did so before the rain arrived - always a help!

Moneywise I have requested another £10 from SB, and reached £5 payout on shoppix - also requested. I've got £34 approved and on its way from ziff!t for the first bundle of dvds/cds that we sent off from last weekend which will go into the bucket list account.

Clutterwise, we've continued the big clear out - another box of books for z!ffit, my first listing on ebay for many years, another trip to the tip, and a car boot full of things for the charity shop. It's all coming together!

And DH and I took some time out from the busy-ness and chaos and managed lunch out on Saturday.

All in all a good weekend. Now, just to get through the working week.......!!
