  • A bit belatedly have totted up December's "extras" - it has not been such a full month as the previous ones, with a combination of Christmas slowing some of the sites down a little, and me being busy trying to do a million and one other things!

But, even so, I am pleased to report £158.72 - £65 was from SB and £25 from Instagc, so they were my biggest earners.

That made a total of £828.75 since I started in September 2017. I have joined the "make £2018 in 2018" challenge on the Boost your Income board.....that needs £168.16 a month or £38.80 a week, so based on performance so far, it is doable but still very much a challenge that will need focus.

That extra £2018 would make a big difference to the new garden, though - so definitely has my focus!!

  • I can't wait to have a garden! At the moment we have a patio and a balcony - very easy and low maintenance, but we do miss a "proper" garden and it is quite exciting planning it! Pinterest is getting a good amount of traffic from us, that's for sure!!

  • I hope you're not all being blown away by Storm Eleanor today - stay safe everyone!

For those that have been frustrated by the ads on the video apps for swagbucks - they have (temporarily at least) been removed meaning it is much easier to whizz through the apps and get those lovely points racked up. If you've put swagbucks away through frustration over the last few weeks, dig it all out again and have another go!

Your extra earnings are amazing! I'm good on the financial defence and awful on the offence. Think I can spot a 2018 goal emerging:o

All the very best for the new year.

PS. Love a good spin - they are brutal aren't they? Feels good afterwards though!
Original mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.
Mortgage neutral achieved August 2020 - 7 years early!!!
  • Sometimes, just being on the defence is good, though - we are in danger of trying to tackle too much head on and then not being able to sustain ANY of it if we are not careful. Now that you have got some things down to a fine art, perhaps you could just add in one new thing at a time so that you don't have MSE Overload (it's a real thing!).

And yes, spinning is brutal - no standing sprints for me for a while, however, but it was good to get back on the bike!
  • Best of luck with everything. Mortgage Free for Early Retirement and the freedom it brings is a very worthy goal.

You've reminded me that I should make a sig.
  • It certainly is, Cicatrix....and it's a goal I am looking forward to achieving!!
