Wow. What an awesome months earnings.
I have no idea what circle or jobspotter are. Sadly I'm using a really old phone as my iPhone is broken and I've no spare cash to fix it right now.
Great to hear your off crutches now. Hopefully the stick will be gone soon too. You must be like a caged tiger waiting to get back to full mobility.0 -
Hi Toadhouse! Yes, I am very pleased with it, although I know it is not really repeatable (well, not regularly anyway) as some of that came from some lucky bingo wins that I got when making use of the sign up offers.
Once you get your phone fixed, you will be well away. I'm actually using a cheap smartphone that is able to take enough of the apps that I can use when there is wifi - I have no sim or data for it, so it really is just for basics when free wifi is around (so very MSE). I paid £14.99 for it from Argos, but apparently sainsburys are selling their stock off at around £12. It is the Vodafone Smart First 7 model if it helps and is cheaper than fixing your iPhone.
Today the first job of the day was to put in my request to switch the mortgage. So that is duly done before even thinking about breakfast! It shouldn't be a problem as I now have less than 40% LTV according to their own reckoning, but I now have to wait "up to 48 hours" for an access code to be able to sign the papers. I just hope that in those 48 hours, they don't decide I'm no longer an acceptable risk!
I shall report back in due course, but I've done what I can for now! Please think positive thoughts for me!0 -
Positive thoughts aplenty zooming your way!
Impressed with your phone, betterthan - did you just stick an old sim into it?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thank you for the positive thoughts, KC!
As for the phone, I have no sim in it at all....I just use it for wifi when it is available.
I did order a new sim from topcashback, which I will register to the phone this week, but only for the purposes of getting the cashback, not because I actually want to use it!
In other news, £10.71 has been received in Amazon from Jobspotter, so money moved to the money-for-nothing account to cover that. Obviously the Amazon balance will be used for Christmas and birthday shopping in due course so will come out of another budget pot.
My monthly mortgage has been paid today and my signature duly amended. One step closer..... If I get the new rate it will be £47 a month lower than I currently pay, so a big difference. That £47 can be put to work elsewhere! (provided that it all gets approved!).0 -

Well I can do no more, beanie. It is out of my hands!
£10 M&S voucher has been received, and another £10 Amazon voucher requested. A decent start to November I think.0 -
