You've just reminded me - I'm off to pay our CT now - £118  but it is budgeted, so doesn't count on the daily spends thread, even though it hurts to pay it. The annoying thing, here, is that we can no longer pay it at the Council Offices - we have a card for paying at the Post Office.
I have to walk a mile PAST the Council Office to get to the Post Office.
Anyway, bd - I hope you both enjoy your OH's Birthday Dinner.
That's a bit annoying Rog! I pay mine online, as am very very lazy... they sent us two bill breakdowns on the same day when we moved here, with totally different monthly amounts on, so am paying the lesser £87 at the mo - far nicer than £99. As for the dinner, i'm going to scoff my little face! x0 -
How do people spend so little in a day!!? Already today I've put £20 in car in diesel, paid DS's dinner money £6, bought a coffee and a bacon butty £2.20. Before the days out, I'll have spent a few more quid for lunch (at uni so no facility to make something, and no fridge to keep a packed lunch), DS will probably want some sweets for on the way home (car journey 1 hour) another 50p and that is a cheap day!
Hmmmm...beginning to think I might be high maintenance......Thank God I don't smoke anymore!!0 -

I'm lucky at the moment, I work part time so most of the time I spend at home in front of the computer so I don't go out and eat, haven't really got a choice.BR 4/10/07

We DO manage, missk. Stick around and you'll soon see how. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi rog
I'm not sure if I'll get out today to spend anything, I need to wait in to get a parcel and then I need to go down to the diy store to get a couple of bits for the house. I have some curtain poles to put up and curtains to make too if I ever get off this website!!!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
Until I remembered I had some tesco vouchers and 2 jars full of 2ps and 1ps, I thought I was going to be on "bullet beans and cardboard bread" for the week. I still might be next week

Thank Goodness, I was going go say I don't think anorexia is worth money saving for! lol. I'm a nightmare, I can't walk past a papershop without getting a packet of sweets or a drink or something. I'm convinced its an addiction!!
I find when I'm skint, I stay at home in my pyjamas for a whole weekend watching TV and getting all my ironing and housework done. Probably not very healthy, but it saves me a fortune!
