Thanks!
Am shattered today.Early night me-thinks..
Spent £6 in supermarket only on yoghurt, milk and cheese?
Then £3 for lamb chops in butchers. Then picked up the free Lego for DS.
Tonight I've made the chops with cauli-cheese and lovely yummy roasted spuds!
I have 1 bid for a fiver on Ebay with a total of 3 watchers. Ends Saturday!
Pavlov: just been looking at your sig..well done on the 'furniture fund'. But seeing as you're 'over budget' by a grand - why dont u shove that onto your savings for the deposit ? Oh well..
Was planning a NSD today but looks like it wont happen..
Need the newspaper for DSs Lego: thats 40p - and milk. I only have a quid in my purse so..
Yesterday spent £1 on a loaf of bread using a 35p MOC!!
Also spent £7.49 in aldi yesterday. Everything;s gone up everywhere..that was on cordial, tinned tomatoes, butter, tinned sweetcorn,fishfingers,eggs,biscuits, carrots, onions and my treat:croissants! These would all have been about a fiver a few months ago..
I also went to butchers and got some cubed beef and a chicken. All a fiver.
I shoved the beef in the slow cooker last night with loadsa veg.We had that with couscous for a change.
Chicken'll be tonight.Shall tackle the last of the spuds and make a roast. Market day tomorrow!!
I also went into the bank yesterday and told them to cancel my paper bank statements. Dont want anyone rifling through them IFYKWIM.
Ebay has 1 extra watcher so 4 watchers on a total of 2 items. Only 1 bid for a fiver and no other bids!14 items listed.. i think even Ebayers are being affected by this credit-crunching business..
I am also having a dilemma with my dishwasher - shall post on here later for suggestions..

A few months ago I bought a table-top dishwasher. I get no help with domestics and felt this would be a great help.
OH walked in while it was being installed and kicked off at the man (old) who was selling it 2nd hand. He doesnt like 'strangers' in the house and the poor old guy made his excuses and left. I dont blame him. The cost of the dishwasher (£80) was to include fitting but at the time he didnt have the necc parts etc and was due to come back. He never did. But after OH appaling behaviour - i dont blame him..
My question is:
Its been sitting there unused all this time.
SHould i (a) sell it cos never used it
(b) get a cheap plumber to fit it for me ? I rang around and the cheapest i could find was £80 :eek:CC1: [strike]1,500[/strike] CC2:[strike]£830[/strike] Vanquis [strike]£1500[/strike] £2000 left

Could you post on one of the other boards for help?
We had a full size dishwasher when I was with my ex.He fitted it and it only took 5 mins.I think it's like the washing machine where you need to get the cold supply in then have a waste pipe out.
Ask on one of the other mse boards I'm sure someone would be able to talk you through doing it and advise you betterlost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

I am silently fuming.
This week my childcarer is away with her gang for half-term. So I have had to rope in the help of a babysitter friend. Which is all well and good – except OH decided to pull a sickie yesterday. He ‘offered’ to look after DS instead - which saved me some dosh; but he only really offered cos he didnt want Ms.Babysitter in the way; thats all..anyway..he remained in bed until gone midday.
I meanwhile had been up and done:- internet banking;
- have now changed my electricity suppliers to EON through quidco;
- DS had his brekkie; bath and morning snack;
- I cooked lunch for us all;
- prepared dinner in the slow cooker;
- did laundry and hung it up outdoors as it was a splendidly glorious morning!
It crawled out of bed at roughly 12:20 pm just as I was getting ready to leave the house. I put DSs lunch out and it mumbled some sort of greeting. I mumbled back. I was absolutely shattered and had to do a full shift at work to look forward to. I left instructions ( and finance) for a few bits from the supermarket to be bought - including DSs lego coupon thingy.
At about 4pm I texted it to remind that the clothes needed to be brought in.
I got home about 9pm to find my darling DS still up – and it was snapping at him about his eating habits and how DS had given it a ‘hard time today’ blah blah blah I decided not to interfere and it put DS to bed.
In the meantime I washed all the flippin dishes; then cooked some rice etc to go with the slow-cooker food. It mumbled some sort of a greeting then left to buy said supermarket bits. Needless to say it was too late for his lego.. Meanwhile; all my washing was drenched; including a feather pillow. I’m livid. I have therefore come to the conclusion that not only is it a deadbeat dad but a deadbeat ‘it’ as well. Officially Good For Nothing. ‘It’ shall now be known as GFN.:mad:
Meanwhile my rear wiper – the whole entire thing – has fallen off. I watched it do so this morning on my way into work..i called up Toyota who have quoted £50 for the arm and blade. Fitting’s free. But I posted on the motoring forum on here and someone recommended buying off ebay so I might try that instead. Such an unnecessary expense..yet necessary..IFYKWIM
Other than that I’ve stuck with my meal planning quite well so far – On Monday we had chicken soup – with the little chicken we had left in the freezer. The Tuesday it was remainder of chicken to make pasta for lunch. Dinner was beef cubes and loadsa veg in the slow cooker. Eaten with rice. Tonight’ll be lamb chops (the last of-!!) with cauliflower+cheese and either new potatoes or yorkshire puds or couscous..oh I dunno!
Looking for some storage at HomeBase for DSs room cos got a ‘fiver off’ voucher but the one thing that I want is not available either in store or for delivery!! I’m fuming cos it’ll mean a looong trip down to IKEA instead for the equivalent which is £35. The Toy Unit at Homebase is also £35 but that’s a 5 min drive from home plus the £5 off would be much more MSE…

How annoying for you! Honestly, reading through your thread I think you would be far happier without your OH-and probably richer and have less to do! I know from being a lurker on your thread that you know this as well but I know from being in similar situations (not as bad though) how it's very hard to break free from the habit. You do so much and from what you say are hampered by a complete layabout. I am full of admiration for you and hope that all sorts itself out. keep strong-v hard when you have a GFN who is unable to complete a simple task of taking clothes off a line!HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18
