Here it is!!

IKEA all of £24.50

53518_PE156895_S3.jpg

This is ideal cos I;ve got black leather sofas (from ebay!) and a black leather mirror in the room. This'll go in the corner to separate where the 2 sofa's meet in the corner of the room.

I'm still looking around elsewhere (the usual places!) for something similar but I've not had any luck.
Neither have I heard of any IKEA discounts..so i may end up forking out either way..

Hi Bartgirl, haven't posted for ages but I read your diary regularly and I think you're doing really well. Re Freecycle, in London it pays to belong to about three or four groups that cover your area. My best bargains come from the posher boroughs next door. :)

I am a lurker but I am here too! You are an inspiration!

Your receipes sound great! but I would be unconcerned if your live in leech likes them I would be making the ones he doesnt like on purpose so he puts his hand in his pocket and makes a contribution and as for him putting things in the trolley and expecting you to pay I would too have left him standing at the til.

When you come to the time to tell him you know about his bit on the side why not take him to asda just before he is paid (so skint) let him fill up the trolley with anything he wants then when he asks you to pay tell him to ask his girlfriend and walk away. Oh and while you are at Asda have a locksmith changing the locks for you.

How do the sticky tiles look in the living room?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :T :T Oh so wicked but I like it :T :T :D

Tried out the juicer. Its ab-fab!!! I'm ecstatic. :j

OH walked in just as I finished my last post on here and he was thoroughly impressed too!

I have to be careful though because last night he announced his general state of skint-ness. I shall have to be careful cos if i buy the tiles he might cotton onto the fact that I have some cash - and and start asking for loans.
So i may have to put off buying them for a few weeks - till payday perhaps.

Also, I have now discovered his work is closed over the Easter period so he's gonna be hanging around...I told him he'd have to have DS on Mon when I'm at work then - he obliged - but i 'forgot' to mention it'd be a 7 a.m.start cos thats when i'll leave the house!
His hanging around also means food intake increases. I think I'm going to have to be extra creative this month and think up meals with less meat and more veg combinations.
I'm also just realising how much of a mistake it is that OH is around when my Ebay listings end, cos some of the stuff is Cash on Collection - and last time that happened - he pocketed the money. I was at work and he agreed to do everything for me - and ended up keeping the money for 'safe keeping'..i never saw a penny of it. Several hundred pounds. No comment. These items here are nowhere near worth that, more like a fiver here and there - odd bits of furniture - but it's all to go straight into my savings...so i cant afford to spare a penny of it..

Shall be meal planning today, and going to Asda for the jeans after work..I'll have to keep those hidden anyway otherwise he'll know i've got spare cash.
Still no movement on Ebay..but I live in hope. I have contacted a freecycler for a water filter i no longer use-they want it.

Have also taken Tustastic's advice and signed up to other Freecycle groups too..so i could prob still get the bits off my list completely F.O.C! (maybe then i can justify the IKEA spend!)..;)

Hi BG :T :T

I'm hopeful you'll be able to keep him from finding out about your moneymaking efforts.

I think I'll have to create some A4 posters at home for the Easter break saying
"BE LIKE BARTGIRL. YOU KNOW YOU NEED TO!!!"
My motivation is seriously low at the moment, even though I know what needs to be done :o

Keep on trucking girlie. You my idol :j :j

• Hi Bartgirl

Good idea about not letting on about any spare cash. Fingers crossed you get loads of last minute bidders on your items.

Thanks everyone for all your fab messages of support.

I'm shattered today after working a late shift and an early shift back-to-back.

I'm also feeling really down for some reason. i think this whole situation that i'm in etc so i've decided to go and see a counsellor. I just feel proper down. I know my exhaustion isnt helping but i'm feeling really helpless...not many people know about what I'm going through - but the 1 friend did say that she thinks that i'm showing the effects of someone who's been abused emotionally. I know i cant really afford it and wont qualify for free NHS and prob got a long waiting list etc etc so have decided to try to do research and find one locally that I can afford.

Amazon have paid some money into my account - that i'd forgotten about ;) and got couple more watchers on Ebay - but no bids yet. Nothing. Nada. Diddly squat!
