Yes, one out of 4 of mine has 2 fillings, both on the side of the tooth rather than the chewing surface. Dentist said it was congenital weakness of the enamel in those spots rather than bad brushing. Suggested perhaps I had a virus at that stage of gestation (see, it is always Mums' fault)

They are still baby teeth so they are not really too bothered, DH has very little enamel on his teeth, dentists puzzled, but it is just how his teeth are. Nothing can be done about it.

DS already has his adult teeth affected but I think it's sth similar as our routine doesn't explain it. Made me feel a bit better. The daughter of my friend was even born without enamel on her back teeth at all. Also sth happened during the pregnancy.

    Today is NSD # 17!!

After DS2s birthday presents it is needed. DH's birthday next week and DS1s birthday the week after - yeah, bad planning huh?

Ending the month with £250 left in the kitty, so I am absolutely not complaining.

No heating on, due to fabulous new double glazing.

£200 credit on gas and electricity account so well prepared for winter.

Beauty spends £0 as I used up lots of sachets and freebies and back of bathroom cupboard lurkings rather than buying a big bottle of new.
Which helped with the de-cluttering mission.

Great challenge this month. It has kept me firmly in the black.

Will just have to draw a line under this month as totally lost count of SFD's and over budget on food/ clothes/ house. However received total of £98 in surveys in the last 10 days which has saved my bacon.

    SFD yesterday.

Today getting a haircut - first since May and hopefully will save me on hair products and conditioner as my hair is so thick and curly.

Tomorrow will be a SFD as on my own will just do another autumnal walk Did a fab one yesterday afternoon. Any free time start painting my hallway,

Off to work out budgets as got lot of social events next month - paid for some already.

Probably won't check in tomorrow as give up on my tablet.
So huge thanks to Thrifty for this challenge:T:T:T
    Sorry for going off rails.:o

Last check in for me for the month, as we are going away for the weekend :)
Expensive month here, mostly due to trying to get in as much camper van time as possible before the weather gets too awful :D
Overspent on grocery /shopping budget, so must do better next month! I play by slightly different rules to some, YS bargains are rarely available here, so I have disregarded that part, also count toiletries /pet food/cleaning stuff, in fact all regular household spends in that budget, plus the milk bill. No excuse though, and I will be aiming to come in on budget next month :o
Also not managed many SFDs, again, I will aim to do better next month :)
Didn't manage a SFD again today as the shop where I rent my sales unit had a Macmillan coffee morning to raise money for the charity, so a donation was needed there, plus ingredients for the cake I also donated :) Tomorrow is OH's birthday and we are going out for the day, so my total will be 8/18 :o

See you all in October!! :D
  • Another spendy day today as we got paid and we're out so decided to do full food shop (to avoid supermarket on the weekend!).

I'm hoping tomorrow will be spend free - will have hit 14 NSD then and will be happy with that.

This month has been difficult, next month will also be difficult but hopefully November will be easier after the mini-moon as we won't have to save quite so much.

    Day 29
Today was a spend day. Spends put into the notebook.
Walked 20 minutes and read my book.
    Took my lunch into work.
    Used food etc already in.
    Grateful for:
Being in my temp job for a month now.
First full week in work that I did all my contracted hours.
    M&S ready meals.
Managing to get to the theatre just in time.
Watching a really good play at the theatre.
    Start of the weekend.
For one of my free books being delivered and postman was able to put it through the letterbox.

  • Very tired. Only had to be at the library for film afternoon by 12.30 and managed to doze off. Only a few minutes late and mum was inside out of the rain (she loves that walker, it makes things so much easier for her).

Film was My Fair Lady which was better than expected (love Stanley Holloway - we used to have a history teacher who would recite 'Albert and the Lion' as often as he could be persuaded to). Went to the toilet twice during the songs (or recitations in the case of Rex Harrison who, as the host pointed out, never actually sings
    .
However it was the uncut version - a full 2 and three quarter hours long, which was too long for many and too loud for some. Opted to come home afterwards rather than go with mum and then to the 'History of local mining exhibition' later. Was hoping to go to 'my' film this evening but have wimped out in favour of a night in - seems rare these days, get home from mum's after 7pm and sometimes as late as 9pm.

Have slept and still very dozy. They have put the heating on and feel too wobbly to go down and turn it off (just requested they turn it off - said they can turn it on again later if they are cold but hope they forget).

Hoping to go back to sleep soon and start afresh in the morning.

Today I am grateful to thrifty for running this challenge, for a visit from DS2 who had heat rub which (after the sleep) has made a great deal of difference to my aching shoulder, for flu jabs (lovely purple spreading bruise but will help enormously in the coming months) and for leftover spag bol from Beloved.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
