    That's life!

every new home needs working doing when you move in and filling holes is just part of re-decorating.

Order a skip & spend the weekend filling both the skip and the holes. In a month it will all be forgoten

We had a ridiculously over grown garden, Wood and couple of bags of gardening stuff left in the garden from prob years ago. The bins were all full from next doors rubbish! But we got the council to empty them. The rest we sorted ourselves and took as part of moving I guess. Suppose if there was a lot of stuff left it would of annoyed me more.Holes in walls should of been filled tho.

Move on, no one's expected to fill holes in wall on their way out. Sometimes you just get unlucky with people who leave a lot of mess behind.

Change the locks. He had a second set of keys. Anyone could have a third set.

If they have left a forwarding address I would suggest maybe forwarding some of their smelliest rubbish. Had a rental once where the previous tenant came back after about 4 months asking for a spare car wheel he had left in the garden. Actually got angry when said it wasnt there and suggested I buy him a new one lol

I wouldn't do that. It is not fair on the poor sod who has to deliver it.

If it gives you satisfaction, arrange for it to be delivered to his new place. It'll cost you but then, it's going to cost you anyway.
This made me chuckle - great idea! :rotfl:

Thank you everyone for your replies,

Locks changed and alarm code also changed, cleaned up the mess with help of a close family friend and a make shift skip.

We also, thank you to my wonderful dad, managed to fill every hole this bank holiday weekend and have repainted most of the house now. The one bedroom had 16 holes in where he'd attached a wardrobe and then just pulled it off the Wall.

It's ours now and that is all that matters, thankfully it cost us nothing but a lot of time and a few thank you beers.

Just one to chalk up, not everyone has the same moral standing as you do.
