    not sure if you have option in win7. this is what it looks like in win10

    Thank you for this dipsomaniac! Yes, it is different from what I see in Windows 7. The "clean up system files" box is definitely not there in my version of Windows 7 (service pack 1). When I right click on the "computer" icon, under the "Windows edition" it states service pack 1, underneath that it states "get more features with a new edition of Windows 7" (it's a link). Never looked at it before, but I guess I'm meant to have clicked on this before. I don't know whether I should now that they don't offer Windows 7 anymore? I'm very averse to clicking anything on the computer just in case I bu**er it up!

    just upgrade to win10 when ready and ideally while its still free

    deleting installer logs can do just that.

    just do the big stuff, temp files, memory dumps, debug dumps

    I have Win7 Home premium, follow this by clicking -

    Start -- All Programmes --Accessories -- System Tools -- Disk Clean Up.

    After using it a few times, it moves up the list in Start.
    I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.
