also, can i have some advice from you ebay queens?!
i want to bid on some wedding / bridesmaid shoes. the only thing is the postage is £10!!! is there anything i can do about that? the shoes themselves are still at a reasonable price but i object to it being so vastly inflated. other sellers of the same kind of items are charging £2.50-£5 at the most.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
You can ask them to confirm the postage is correct, just that you think it seems high etc but to be honest they can charge what they want when it comes to postage really. Most add a 'little' extra in, some add a lot extra, you don't pay fees on postage....it's called fee avoidance but hard to prove as they can say well petrol costs to post office, someone else packs them I pay them to do this etc.One day I might be more organised...........

yeah i thought that. its a first time seller so i may be able to talk them down. i have left a question but no response and the sale finishes soon. i will prob bid anyway as its still good even with the postage. i know everyone adds a bit in, but that really is taking the micky!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Just waiting for our dinner to cook. We are having a roast, and i am starving. I should have put it in a bit earlier i think but i got engrossed in bath time and then strictly started.
i think i can feel baby movements. Very weird as i wasn't expecting anything this early. I wouldn't swear on it at this minute, but it has happened twice today, both times when i have really needed the loo, so i guess it could be.
DH will be watching the rugby tonight, so i think i may do some school work. I also need to go through charlie's toys as we emptied the box and i don't want it all back in there, the baby stuff can go away for a bit, and then he will probably play with it again when it comes out next time.
Also just had a chat with my sister, she needs an op. She has a lump on her thyroid gland which is thought to be a cyst but it is causing her to feel like someone is strangling her all the time, and also it makes her lips go blue from time to time, so best to have it out she feels.
Other than that, not a lot planned. Don't want to be too late to bed as we are both really shattered.

Michelle - ewww @ neck ops, I couldn't do that, hate anyone touching my neck at all, saying that feeling like someones strangling you isn't nice either, hope it goes well for your sis. We're just having dinner aswell, late lunch so late dinner, DP at work so just me and the boys, who have just finished helping sort and pack 4 tubs of books
impressed as they've been less than helpful lately! Chinese ish style chicken for me, some sort of marinade on it but no idea what, with some rice with a stock cube thrown in, chicken, waffles and sweetcorn for the boys, can tell we're using up stocks as it's just whatever is in.
One day I might be more organised...........

hugs for your sister michelle - i sorted out and got rid of all the really babyish toys aswell this week to make way for birthday ones!
Rach - that annoys me too with postage! If you are buying more than 1 pair they usually give you a better deal.
Nicki - I have been tryin to do grocery challenge in October too but seem to be spending more - I hate being on a budget!!
Hope you all have a good Saturday night xx0 -
woohoo, i just packed my first box!
i know i'm not moving for months but i want to get sorted! just books that i won't need. i think it will help me to mentally move on as well as my flat, though quite small, has loads of stuff in!

oh that is so much better after eating.
Thanks for the best wishes for my sister. Doesn't sound nice to be honest, but the hospital got her in and looked at quick. She went to the drs for her scan results yesterday, and when she siad about her lips going blue they had her in straight away, checked her oxygen levels and did a camera down the nose to see what they could see.
i've changed my mind about the school work tonight as i feel really shattered all of a sudden, but i will do the toys as i can't cope with leaving them all out on the floor. We got them all out to see what he did choose to play with, and he prefers our shoes, and the phone, the TV remote and the computer mouse. He spends most time with a set of stacking cups. He will shout into them, and then get us to shout into them after him. boring for us but he loves it.
he also took a couple of steps again today, and was stood up for ages clapping his hands and sort of bouncing about, a bit like he was dancing. I think when he becomes confident he will start running about. Also fed himself 3 meals today with a spoon, which will be a useful skill to perfect before i get too big.
We are at a kiddies birthday party tomorrow so i may not be around much. so enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Michelle, x
rach did you have much success dyeing wedding shoes? I have my pair that are in need of it doing, and was wondering whether you had any good results and could you recommend a dye and a method of doing it0 -
Evening all, hope everyones okay and enjoying their Staurday. e've been at a wedding all day so mad rushing around this morning and got in about 7.30 before night do started. DS was so upset and tired so is now settled in bed. Plus the child that ahs only been sick 6 times in his life due to stomach probs decided to projecticle vomit during the speeches, we sat next to the top table in front of the best man. So best man giving a speech and 120 people all looking fowards us and DS vomits for everyone to see! Beautiful.
Really tired now as did loads of jobs before we left this morning and am straving so just sent DH out for food as he drove today.
I'm another one whos cleared the toys for the birthday present top ups. if anyones looked at my pics on facebook my lounge isn't always littered like that with toys.
Nicki - shames about your meeting and eek at the money situation, been there done that and its cr*p

Rach I started packing early, wish I'd done it even earlier, so much STUFF! I have packed stuff every day, aimed for one box a day but have done more most days and there is still more to do. It's starting to drive me insane!
Wow Charlie sounds like he's coming on amazing Michelle, feeding himself will definately be useful for you aswell as helping him with his motor skills and independance, love the list of what he plays with, my boys were the same, DS2 was scary as he was into WIRES!
tracyg sorry to hear DS is poorly at least it took some pressure off the best man being centre of attention, joy of kids, my son did it on a bus once (had a reflus problem) hit 4 people, oops! One day I might be more organised...........
