    Hi everyone,

Welcome to the newbies and congratulations to Clarkey :)

Shan't get much done on the list today as it's Harvest Festival for A & W today so I shall be toodling along to church to see them both in their respective services and then once I get back I shall be pulling A's pc out so that I can edge round the walls and skirting board so that she can paint it after school. Need to hunt out some curtains for her room or some fabric and ask Mum to make some new ones for her. Suspect that will be another day's task.

Hope you all have a productive day, night Denise

    Morning all :hello:

Congrats Clarkey1000 :D Welcome to all the newbies :D :hello:

I've been awake since 5am (Woke up due to a nightmare about giant snakes & spiders ... I am NEVER watching Elektra before bed again :o ). Glad I'm up though as I got to chat to OH this morning for a change :D We must have looked a right pair though - he was sat at his computer in his PJs/dressinggown reading BBC News website eating toast & drinking his coffee, I was sat at my computer (next to him, only seperated by DDs little desk) fully dressed eating a bowl of cereal & drinking coffee while playing scrabble at 6.30am :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

RIGHT, todays plan of action :
    • Dailies
      • Beds
      • Bathroom S&S
      • Kitchen S&S
      • 15 mins on computer - sorting photos - each break.
      • Evening meal - Something in the slowcooker I think  (oo...just found a slowcooker Lasagne link :D That would clear out alot of the stuff in the cupboards and freezer :D )
      • Packed Lunches for tomorrow
    • MONDAY JOBS
      • Put washing out if the drizzle goes off! (better had do...I have 2 lots of bedding to dry! )
      • Demould hallway
      • Buy new rubber gloves - slit mine open last night on a tin can, along with my thumb :mad: So washing up can wait until I've bought them :p
    • Weeks jobs
      • Join DD's gloves together with ribbon to put through coat (to stop her loosing just the one again!)
      • Make "snake" for behind front door.
      • Inventory of stuff in rooms as I go - 30 mins perday.
      • Ebay items ready for listing on Thursday, 5 items per day if I can manage any I'll be happy!
      • Update Money
      • Set up a budget for the rest of the month until Paydays for each of us. (4-6 days apart  )
      • Start HGP lists - amended version for me as I have a much smaller house and it started back in August :o (as seen here : http://holidaygrandplan.com/ )
      • Gather ideas for Christmas gifts
      • Update Christmas Card list - thinking save money and send an e-card to people abroad who's email addresses we have ;)
Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    • Level 1
      • Vacuum floors and sofas
    • Level 2
      • Dusting, even if around everything
      • Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
      • Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
      • [strike]Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!![/strike] Only have a moneytree that doesn't like being watered.
    • Level 3
      • Wipe light switches, sockets and banister
      • Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
      • Tidy shoes, coats and bags
      • [strike]Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts.[/strike] Not applicable here as they're already up :D
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

I'm also planning on getting OH & DD to go through their CD's, DVD's, videos, books, clothes etc and have a clear out. I've asked OH to do a charity shop run this weekend as we already have 2 full boxes under the stairs which are too heavy for me to move myself :D I'm hoping 1 "area" a day will break it down enough that they might actually do it :rotfl:

Right, best go and make a start - think I'll set up an excel file for the inventory ;) Laters
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Morning all.

    Welcome to all newbies.
clarkey- congrats on your news, take care of yourself.
sexymouse- wondered where you were last week, great to hear you had fun meeting up at your graduation.
AnW's mum- enjoy your day with the children's Harvest festival celebrations.

I think I would have kept to a 'normal' Monday but it's DH's birthday today and he's off. I'm taking him out to lunch and he wants to go out to the music shop over the other side of town as well. So a quicker room is just right for me today too.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

    Morning

    clarkey Congratulations! x

    Welcome all new people :hello:

Just made my second brew of the day and catching up on here before I make a start. I like the room change - keeps me on my toes - which is strange as I usually don't like change, will feel a bit odd not doing the kitchen today though even though it gets done in my dailies.

Ooooh and I've got a watcher on one of my eBay items which I'm thoroughly pleased about as I didn't think I'd have any interest - we shall see.

Shopping being delivered between 10-12 so I'd like to at least get the kitchen S&S'd before then - I hate putting shopping away in a messy kitchen for some strange reason.

DD1 is busy packing as she's moving to Dover on Thursday, feel a bit sad but also excited for her as it's the start of a brand new life, one where she wont have me butting in :D I'll miss her though.

Log book for the car finally made an appearance but the mechanic who fixed my car is on holiday so wont be able to get to it until at least Thursday - how typical  but.....I should have it by the w/e YAY!! :j

Well seeing as I didn't think I had much to say today I've totally proved myself wrong!

    list time:-

Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts.

raphael welcome :) goodnight Denise :) good morning everyone else :)

Booked Megan in for a pampering, week on Thursday just before we move, £22 so happy with that as others seem to pay £30+ when I asked on the pet care forum....might not have to vacuum 3-4 times a day for a while!

Kids off to school, after DS1 had a major strop, DP did get up and seen what a challenge he is on a morning, having to feed him, dress him etc, he lost his temper a little so I got cross as I deal with this on a DAILY basis not when I just feel like it.

Right, coffee time then start on the rest of the list I think...
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning everyone!

I have been away from flying since before the summer holidays but am now back and determined to stay the course!

Yesterday DD and I did a table top sale and raised the princely sum of £11.69 (!) but we had a good morning and the best thing was that we got rid of stuff too. Also her school is having a jumble sale soon so I am off there in a moment or two to dump off our unsold stuff.

    Hi All,

Just signing in for a bit of encouragement to stick to this routine this time! I have gone a bit astray lately as I have been off work sick with Morning sickness that has gone on all day (and night!). I am 41 and with a 14 years gap between this one and the last one it has hit me hard! Anyway, the sickness seems to be easing a bit and as I have got the rest of the week off work still I am determined to get the house spick and span!

Off to make a start! Love that the rooms have changed order!
