  • Thanks pigpen I'm glad for the reshuffle- have the 3 DSs off school tomorrow and find the living room not too bad- Need extra time for the kitchen - I hope you are NOT going to move tehhkitchen to a Friday !! ( I 'm out at work for 10 hours and then spend the eveing running the DKs round to various youth groups!)

  • Yay the lounge, that's cool I've just about moved all the junk out of it that was stored in there while the other rooms were getting plastered.

    Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Dusting, even if around everything
    Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
    Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
    Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags
    Extra Mission:
    Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
    Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

    My list for the week (alternatively known as the stuff that didn't get done today)
    Put cover back on sofa
    Ditch broken DVD player, box up amplifier
    Take remaining bits out of lounge
    Put TV back where it used to be
    Clean skirting in lounge
    Put curtain rail back up properly and rehang the remaining curtains
    Move drawers back into bay window in lounge
    Get 4 boxes - charity shop, [strike]freecycle[/strike], sell, [strike]return to owner[/strike], and clear stuff from understairs, storage room into the boxes.
    Get smoke alarms put back up
    Sort through blanket box
    Clear bedside cabinets
    Tidy tools and stuff from spareroom away
    Clean out empty cage and store away
    Move books / comics / cds from study and storage to bookshelves on landing - in progress
    Clear paperwork on desk
    Make a christmas card list .. do it on the pc so you don't lose it! Make a note of posting dates for friends/family overseas! - while doing it, check birthday's left for this year
    Make christmas present list
    Sort out bills
    Order extra doors for rat cage
    Contact mortgage guy as to why there is an admin fee
    Determine which elec / gas supplier to use
    Get new bedding

    I've made a list of extras that need doing this week:
    • sort out mounds of paperwork(all over house:o ) file into new filing cabinet bought about 5 months ago!
    • sort out my wadrobes and get rid of any clothes not worn/ebay any worth ebaying and general declutter
    • sort out spare room ready to move dd#2 into it at the weekend
    • sort out understairs cupboard again!
    Will probably add more by the end of the week, but hopefully writing it here might make me do it!

  • I loooooooove doing the living room on a Monday - I am mystery shopping in the morning and wasnt going to have time to do the kitchen cos I MUST CLEAN THE OVEN THIS WEEK - ITS MINGING. Still, plenty to do in the living room seeing as the family have been 'living' in it all weekend and it looks a little pigsty like!!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
    Hope everyone is well, lil-me I admire you getting so much done for your move, you sound as if you have everything so organised. I understand the need to do it all yourself though, you do do it so much better!!!!!!!!1
    Congrats to Clarkey 1000 :j :j :j on the pregnancy - I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and I know that when I (finally) get pregnant again I shall be worrying like mad til I know all is well

    Dinner was yummy, could tell I haddn't eaten anything since lunch as polished the lot off easily, much to the dogs disgust. Oh imagine if the kitchen was left til Friday, for all those who only do it when it's on the list, eww! Same with bedrooms, I stick to the same days usually or it's more days without clean bedding and since Flylady I can't cope with the thought of sheets being on more than a week :o

    Right, tomorrows list, well so far, will add others as I think of them

    Day time, before collecting kids
    [strike]Morning routine, inc getting boys ready & off to school, dogs seen to etc, supposedly DP is getting up but will see it when it happens! [/strike]in shock he got up
    [strike]Dailies - somehow I will fit them in, washer load in now to hang out in morning [/strike]
    [strike]Phone round pooch grooming parlours, think our Megan deserves a treat[/strike]
    May aswell book myself in for a hair cut at the same time, might see if Twilights have any appointment as then can go on evening when DP is at home
    [strike]Put bed on freecycle [/strike]
    [strike]Measure fridge freezer (see where it'll go in garage)[/strike]
    [strike]Empty rest of stuff from shed into car, must remember dust sheets, hopefully DP will help with this or I'm leaving his stuff![/strike]
    See if we can fit the sandpit & some parts from trampoline in too no room
    [strike]Take the stuff for my expecting friend that she wants over for her (baby trampoline, bouncy castle etc) [/strike]
    [strike]Empty car when we get there, again hopefully with help
    Unpack what I can [/strike]

    [strike] Put stuff in oven to start cleaning it, do other stuff while soaking in

    BT coming between 12 and 6pm[/strike]there now DP says making him work for the £125 rewiring the lot!
    Bring drill back over with us to take benches and wall units down best remind DP as I forgot

    Take boys over house if BT hasn't been [/STRIKE](DP need to go and get his mother, oh joys) don't need to now

    Evening
    Dinner & washing up
    Any dailies left

    More packing toys in boys room, flinging what can go!
    Sort through boys books into smaller boxes, because we can't move the HUGE one I packed :rotfl:
    Get DS2 to do his homework
    Night time routine

    Hoping that is all, need to get the shed cleared so we can arrange getting it taken down! 2 weeks from now I'll be in my new house :D , hopefully with an internet connection!!!!

    Going to watch 'The Truth About Food' sort the dogs out and then bed time I think, sure I sorted all of uniforms and put them on the landing but will check when I go up.

    Oh cack poop I forgot to do the jellies for DS1, poop poop poop!
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:

    Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!!
    Level 3
    Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!)
