Well done to the OP for this much needed bit of light relief...I haven't yet fallen into this, but thumbs up to the OP for a nice light hearted thread.
  • I use to own an XR3 with very distinctive striping ( back in the 80s this was one of the standard flash designs, not a one off but quite distinct ) anyway I was parked ( in my carlton ) having some lunch and saw my car car shoot past. Now keep in mind this is a car 20 years old so not many about anymore. So off I chase it down the road thinking someones nicked my car. Then I started thinking its been off road for 2 years, doesn't have a battery in and its in a locked garage. Not a chance it was mine lol.

    Check the posting history.

Similar threads started in the last few weeks, presumably bored kid on holidays, though nothing malicious. Most other threads started on discussion time or money savers arms which is probably where this thread really should be.

But to be fair, it is nice to see a non whinging post from time to time.

Not really, most of the posts are questions rather than whinges.

Depends on whether you take this post as banter or inanity I suppose.

Back in the 1960's there were only five different keys for the whole Ford range. (this may be an urban myth, but there weren't many). Driving off in the wrong car happened quite often,

My dad managed to get into the wrong car, twice in a week when he had a yellow cortina.
We were in hysterics because he managed to get both the cars started:D

In the 90s any Ford key would lock it but you had to have the correct one to open it, And the fav one we attended to was people leaving the key under the bonnet when they checked the oil etc on the ones that you opened the bonnet with the key in the front grille

Indeed my wife has told me a million times not to exaggerate ;)

In all seriousness, the whinges stand out more even if they are less numerous.

Some might say this thread is inane, but some of the stories are quite entertaining...
