If we're going down that road I would rather listen to Ringo Star.
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/get-on-with-it-brexit-is-a-great-move-says-ringo-starr-a3634431.html
Or are Ringo's opinions somehow worth less than those of anyone else, even those who might have ulterior motives for their opinions?
:whistle:
Jock my point was that the concerns are not EU propaganda but comments, (straws in the wind) from pro brexit people who are now changing.0 -
One after another, Remain fairy tales evaporate;
1) They claimed we'd never be able to cope with adopting 40 yrs of laws. DONE
2) They said our citizens abroad would lose access to medical treatment in the EU. SORTED
3) They insisted our Universities & sciencewould go darn the pan. NEW INITIATIVES TO REPLICATE EU FUNDING SORTED.
I've never lost an argument with fictitious people either. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
71% of Economists said AFTER THE REFERNDUM WAS DONE, we'd be in recession by Xmas.

Or would you really rather I post more of those changing their minds from "remain" to "leave"?0 -

Yes avoiding March and April 2019 or in fact all of 2019 sounds a good plan. If there are no problems we will all hear about it and if there are then a few months to sort it out should work.
I'm sure it will all be worked through, just a bit more inconvenience on your travel, I'll apply for an Irish passport before the leave date anyway to avoid that particular annoyance.0 -
I am talking about EU citizens and Brits arriving and departing Britain from March 2019. With the huge increase in checks unless there is a huge increase in personnel and a fancy new computer system up and running without glitches there is bound to be delays.
Frankly anyone who thinks the transition from "open borders" for EU nationals to stringent and detailed checks will be easy is being naive.
Why do I float through Turkish airports as quickly through Stansted / Gatwick then?
Another Remainer scare story.... another opportunity for a hissy fit instead of calm considered reasoning and a can-do approach..0 -

But, but a pint of milk is up £0.15 pence, we've never ever had price rises before, how will we cope............
We consume too many calories anyway, so cut the amount you buy by 3%0
