OK, I can see now that this is what you meant. What you actually *said* is that you'd sent in a sick note.....:DEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Why would you need to send in a sick note if you'd already sent a letter/email tendering your resignation? I feel as confused as your employer must be.
I don't think many us will doubt that your employer is a bad one, but that is no reason for you to drop to their level. Just send a quick note of resignation, with an addendum about medical inability to serve notice. We've already seen you have the ability to type.

I said I didn't think they'd hound me for proof that I was ill.0 -

Hi, I would like to help!
My name Rax
I've been where you are!
Have you walked out of your job if you have I can't help you!!!
However, if your still in work, then I can help you kick booty!!!
Here we go
1- join a union independent from your company it's 35 pounds a month
2- befor leaving any job please get income protection insurance that covers unemployment, sickness and accident cover
3, if you have home insurance you should have legal cover on there, if you don't get it!!
Then what to do is ask your company nicely to offer you contract, if they don't comply get intouch with home insurance legal expense team and they will appoint a solicitor to take them to court FREE.
Next step they will ask you to come in to the office to discus the matter in a meeting, then what you do is you ring your union up and they go in with you and fight your corner
You might win ? Or loose any which way you are covered, whatever you do, do not leave your employment
Good luck !!!0 -

Probably as evidence you left of your own accord, if you later decide to go to a tribunal.
ReadTim right, as a very short letter, you should use his template; I'd add 'immediate'
simply write "I hereby resign with immediate effect from 24 August 2017", date it, sign it and send it to them?0 -

I may not know much about employment rights but even I know this is carp advice !0 -
Spammer probably, about to flog insurance of some sort.
However: union fees are based on income and my average salary rate is nowhere near £35 per month.
A union will not cover you for an existing dispute.
ASU insurance will not cover you if you've walked out voluntarily. And probably not if you are dismissed.
Home insurance cover only touches cases with a 50% chance of success. And what are they taking the employer to court for, exactly?
Have I missed anything in that load of misinformation? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
