Where's the contradiction?0

You obviously didn't look closely enough at the deals on offer.
Which justifies my claim that hiding these terms in the small print, after you've been sold on everything else, is deceptively sneaky. How many other people wouldn't realise what they were signing up for? It just wastes everyone's times.
Don't want to use BT , that's your choice, but you seem to imply that it's only BT that offer introductory pricing that increases after a set time, but many providers do the same thing , obviously they 'hope' the customer will start paying the increased price without objection, but the customer is perfectly at liberty to shop around or negotiate a better deal once outside the minimum term period.
Using a provider that has a set monthly price, no introductory offers, no price increase after the introductory offer expires, obviously suits some.
Im not sure why you think BT's discounting the price for however many months is sneaky, it's not as though these terms are hidden in the T&C's, they get clobbered if an advert sets out to mislead , but obviously someone who takes this type of deal and then forgets to do something about it once the minimum term is up will feel annoyed, but they should be annoyed with themselves not the provider0 -

Sure, it's not only BT that have introductory pricing, or download limits. But they hide the VERY important terms in the VERY small print and make ABSOLUTELY NO REFERENCE to them in the leaflet itself.0 -

The BT marketing images posted on this thread do show the price after the introductory period, and as I said , all competitor ISP's seem to have a team of lawyers ready to point out any infringements to the ASA , so any 'misleading' adverts are banned, and what's more if any company repeatedly breaks the advertising code, they have to submit the advert in advance of it being published or aired to the ASA for approval
You are not alone in having a negative opinion of BT, but sometimes they are painted worse than they actually are0
