Where have you got that bit from?

As far as im aware you have to pay the amount in the contract you agreed to. Therfore you cant cancel early and pay less. You can cancel early and pay exactly what you would have done without getting the product or you can run out your contract paying what you agreed to whilst still recieving some product.

It sounds like you will be paying the full price unless you can negotiate with them.

You beat me to it... :D

I don't understand what you mean? By cancelling early I will be saving about £75 as when you cancel early you are not liable for the full cost, just a percentage of what you would have paid if you weren't cancelling early. I probably won't get a NowTv pass straight away as there is nothing forthcoming that I particularly want to watch on the sky channels so I will be saving and when I do get a NowTv pass I will be saving a lot of money over a normal sky contract

Did you check the link mije1983 posted at#2?

    It quite clearly states
For Sky TV, HD, Sky+, Sky Multiscreen and Sky Q Multiscreen: To end your contract you’ll need to give us at least 31 days’ notice which cannot end before your minimum term finishes.

What percentage do you think you will be saving?
Your Early Termination of Contact (ETC) fee will be almost the same amount as you would pay if you didn't cancel!
Remember, you are in contract and cannot simply renege on what you have agreed to pay.

He cannot "negotiate" an early end to his legally-binding contract. He is in no position to negotiate.
