It just sounds like when you went to pay for the product it offered you 1 day delivery and you accepted which would have restarted a previous expired trial at the yearly price. Seen it before on mine but it's fairly clear what it's charging you.

    But you are asked?
    Yes?

Years ago there were numerous threads about people supposedly being automatically signed up to Amazon Prime but screenshots showed that you had to click to sign up.

I just think that a lot of people just can't be bothered to read what's in front of them.

Yes your asked to sign up, think it was tick a box.
  • Amazon are very naughty with Prime and borderline illegal
They have twice activated my Prime account without me noticing using subliminal purchasing processes only for me to cancel as soon as I noticed and so far never been charged but each time I purchases I have to scrutinise the prompts

I know several friends where Amazon have activated them a Prime account without their knowledge or consent and they just cant be bothered to cancel it. So it is paying Amazon to scam people
    If I ruled the world.......

I know loads of people that that has not happened to .
I use Prime to my advantage at times at zero costs saving significant postage charges .

Subliminal??......utter tripe. Another example of not reading.

Likewise your friends.....they saw next day delivery and did not read any further.

And if they can't be bothered to cancel, that says it all. It takes 2 minutes via your Amazon account.

Some people need to blame others when they themselves get something wrong.
    Whatever happened to personal accountability?

I'm surprised these posters aren't asking for compensation.
  • While I have no problems with Amazon's Prime service generally, one thing I did find annoying was that Prime was reactivated (after I had cancelled it) by one of my family viewing a Prime film via our Blu-Ray player!
Rather than simply stating that Prime was cancelled and so refusing to show the selected film, the service was automatically reactivated and the first I knew was an E-Mail saying my account had already been debited!
Of course, I cancelled again immediately and was refunded but I was annoyed that there was no warning that the Prime subscription was no longer active.

On the other hand, I've enjoyed prompt free delivery of hundreds of items via Prime and I have absolutely no complaints about that..
