clutch disk replacement

I had this exact conversation with somebody on FB the other day. He was proud of the original 1986 tyres on his car. When I pointed out how bloody dangerous that was, not something to shout about, he got all huffy and deleted the post...
A mate of mine has a car with tyres on it that haven't been changed since at least 1966. He's rather proud of the fact too.
I won't ride in it.0 -
Tyre age really should be part of the MOT.0

If a second hand car has had anything replaced, walk away. You want everything original. Parts that have been replaced affect the provenance and value of the car.

It's an Audi, I think we all know how it's been driven......... :rotfl:“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Tyre condition covers that........ Or at least it should, but I suspect it's one of those things that can get skipped over if the garage doesn't sell tyres.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Except that perishing isn't a reason for fail unless it's so bad it's exposing the cords. You can have cracks all over them and it's only an advise.0 -

put the handbrake on 4th gear release the clutch if it stalls its good, if it struggles and takes a while then its bad, likewise just go for a test drive drop down into a low gear and floor it, you will feel it slipping if its bad,
but a clutch change is a good thing,0 -
