It's very, VERY quick and easy to check.
One sidewall, perhaps both, will have a DOT code that ends in an oval. In that oval will be three or four digits. The first two digits are the week number, the third or third/fourth are the year number.
Three digits - 1980s
Three digits plus triangle - 1990s
Four digits - 2000s
So...
236 would be wk23, 1986
236< would be wk23, 1996
2306 would be wk23, 2006
2316 would be wk23, 2106
