Update:- I contacted the manufacturer and asked them to return the bag so I could return to HoF or asked them to refund me direct

I have just had a call from HofF and the manufacturer had contacted them direct. I just need to take my receipt in to HofF and they will refund me in full

Thank you for all your help and advice

Duly noted that any future problems like this I will go straight to the retailer!

Good result. They've probably done it like this as HoF would have returned it to the manufacturer to get their money back anyway so it's cut out a couple of steps by just giving you the money back.
