Offered credit note/exchange - think I just want my money back

What are my rights then with the designer? I emailed them in the first instance and they asked me to return the bag immediately to them for assessment?
I think you're getting your consumer rights and warranty completely mixed up.
Retailer - Consumer Rights Act
Manufacturer - Warranty (May stipulate conditions)
Designer - Nowt0 -
Because the bag was returned after 30 days but before 6 months
After 30 days there is a 'tiered remedy' system.
If a fault is found within the first six months retailers have one opportunity to repair or replace any faulty goods.
If this doesn’t resolve the issue, they are required to give a full refund or a price reduction if consumers choose to keep the goods, without deducting any amount for use, unless it is a motor vehicle.
Remember, if you are offered a credit note or gift voucher instead of a full refund you do not have to accept it.
Ah... I see you are quoting from that well respected publication, The Daily Mail.0 -

Actually it is from thisismoney and is also in an article on here somewhere.0 -
You seem to have all the answers but what you're failing to grasp, despite being told a number of times, the manufacturer has no legal obligation to you other than the terms of the warranty. You statutory rights, as laid out by the CRA lie with the retailer.
I'm not failing to grasp anything, why is everyone so snippy nowadays.
A simple if you had gone back to the retailer yes you could request cash after 30 days but because you went to the manufacturer then no you're not.0 -

But you couldn't request cash after 30 days even if you had gone to the retailer.
If they deem the item is faulty, they can repair or replace OR refund. The option is theirs.0 -

They cannot repair or replace as they have discontinued the range0 -

To be fair, you was given the answers in the first few posts. You then came back asking questions that had already been answered.0 -
