I am writing this slowly, as I know you can't read very fast.

As EVERYBODY has said above: DO NOTHING. CONTACT NOBODY. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

If you think your electricity supply is out of range then you can pay an electrician to test it with his fancy equipment. It is theoretically possible your supply is bad and could cause light bulbs to blow, but it's very unlikely.
I don't think £125 is too unreasonable for a call out and test charge.
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

for those who found that funny (WHICH YOU SHOULD!), its from Brass eye, a deeper than first glance parody of 1990's journalism.

  • Thanks for the thoughts will see if landlord will sort itt out.

While you're at it, get him to check that your water supply hasn't been watered down too.

I've heard of that new homeopathic water. Dilute a small quantity of water in water, dilute a small quantity of that new solution in water, repeat 30-100 times (depending upon your desired concentration) and you end up with incredibly powerful water which has retained the memory of the original sample and massively strengthened its potency.

The sad thing is, this sort of homeopathic nonsense is actually sold in reputable high street stores and thousands of people buy it.
  • Have spoken to the landlord and he is now getting the power company to come and do a safety check for free.

So it wont cost me anything.

Looking at the bulb holders the are hot and hae a scorch mark on so will wait and see.
