Is it possible my electric has been watered down?

I have had a new prepayment meter put in.
This is due to wanting to keep a handle on what I am spending.
I have had my bulbs blow and do not seem as bright as they were before the change.
My freezer does not seem as cold and the cooker is not as hot on the hob.
I dont know about electrics at all.
Is it possible the electric could be watered down if that is a proper term as it does not seem as strong as it once was.??

Perhaps they rewired the house through the plumbing?0

No. You're perceiving a change that isn't real, so you have nothing to worry about.
I know someone who replaced two kettles because he thought they were boiling water at a lower temperature than they should have. People perceive all sorts of impossibilities when they're looking out for them.0 -
Ask your neighbours, if yours has so will theirs.0

You replaced the blown bulbs with a lower wattage bulb???
My freezer does not seem as cold

Turn the grill of and the hob on

Under no circumstances decide to test this, if in any doubt refer to this comment > "I dont know about electrics at all."Norn Iron Club member No 3530 -
I can see the helpful suggestions.
Thanks lol.
My thought is that the electiric was not as strong as it was.
It could be due to a number of factors but thought it was a bit suspicious.
I have called an electrician to come and give a check.
Is it normal to pay about £125 for a survey.
Never done this before so want to check.
It is rented but the landlord says there is nothing to worry about.
I want to be safe but not ripped off.
I will get a report and a certifiacte (?) of conformance.
Has any one else had this done before?0 -

To reassure you, from what you've described, you don't have a problem.
Different light bulbs have different wattages and different effective brightnesses.
Freezer temperature is very subjective unless you have a way of properly measuring it.
Same with hob temperature.
Domestic electricity won't be "watered down". It will be the same voltage and frequency as it always is. I'm sure you're perceiving problems that aren't there.0 -

seems good value to me, my mate Jack traded an entire cow for a few beans (they even looked a bit funny!), makes your deal seem pretty good!0 -

O that poor landlord.
OP, its because its summer. The freezer doesnt have to work as hard in winter so it gets less tired, it will just be tired out from all the hard work its doing. Same with the hob, because its wamer the hob is confused and think it doesnt need to heat up as much. The lights arent as bright because its BST, when the clock go back theyll brighten up again.0 -
Thanks for the thoughts will see if landlord will sort itt out.0
