Are all the other sites you use working? Its very strange

Yeah they all work fine except that one and frugaller, it went a bit funny, think it was last night when everything was really really slow but it freed up later on, not I just get unable to display page type message

Oh, I don't know what it could be. Theres no winner of frugaller at the moment anyway, when they pick the next one i'll let you know who it is!

I am having a few sites I can't get to load up - the sex toys one, diva's mario comp & a couple of others.

BF said it could be a dns server problem* but if it is, then it is quite widespread as we are on Virgin, he also dialled into 2 computers in The Netherlands (which use 2 totally different ISPs) & they couldn't get to the sites either.

He likes a challenge & when he comes back downstairs he'll have a poke around online & see if he can find out any more info


What would be handy though, is if you can get to one of the sites that others can't (eg, diva's mario & sonic comp) - tell me which ISP you use






*Into man on the street speak - website addresses are actually just a set of numbers, but a list of which numbers relate to which site names is kept. The names are matched with the numbers by dns servers. We type in a site name & the dns servers which our ISPs (Internet Service Providers) use check which numbers the site name relates to & take us there

I can't get on them and I'm on karoo & djl can't and is on yahoo

Mine says DNSerror briefly in the bit at the bottom when trying to load:)
