I wasn't being sarcy but if you want me to be honest i think it's a bad idea and that's putting it nicely.Other people do post yes not as big a comps or maybe as many as Kipper as we all know she finds the most but it's not like she's the only one that does post them.So we should all suffer and not have comps on a weekend because Kipper has stopped?
Also i could be wrong but i think Kipper doesn't post so many on a weekend at the moment anyway:)

As Hjb has just said if people find comps they would post them regardless.

You were being sarcy, as with 3000 posts you would clearly have known that other people post comps, but thats besides the point. You are probably right and it was a bad idea, but I dont understand how people would 'Suffer' from more comps being posted? My idea was for people to find MORE comps to enter.... surely more comps would have the opposite effect then to make compers suffer? But ok yeh granted it was probably a bad idea, i havent slept much tonight ;) .

People would suffer by you deciding they have a day where they can't enter comps but must find new ones. Many people barely have time to keep up with entering and don't have time to search for new comps - and why should they? If they did, it would probably mean tons of duplicates, and mean twice the workload for kipper when she came back on Monday

It is a nice idea, I don't have much time to post now I'm not up-to-date with the board, I'm always on catch up but I post odd ones when I find them.

It does slightly annoy when people mention a comp that's not on here but they haven't posted it. I do think there are a few people who only take and not give but hopefully they're in the minority.

Although i see what you are saying, i have managed to find comps for a sony walkman, a dell laptop and an 8 day cruise this morning.... thats what i mean about there being more out there.
  • Great idea Ryan, I must admit to not posting many comps, I do keep an eye out for them, just don't have time for entering all, let along finding more!

It was a very good thought, we should all aim higher for more comps!

I find that virtually always if I find a comp independant of this board it has been posted before by someone else. I think I have found about 2 that someone hadn't posted and put them up!

I'm guilty of not posting any comps and only entering the ones which everybody else so kindly posts on this forum.

The amount of comps Kipper finds for example amazes me. There is a compers guide to entering comps. Maybe there should be a compers guide to finding comps. Because believe me I have no idea how to 'search out' a comp that hasn't already been found.

Then, naturally, more people would post comps.

i feel terrible now, i have entered a lot of comps but not posted any, because EVERY SINGLE ONE i have searched has been posted before! I have been able to post some answers up which i hope is contributing but i WILL try to find some that have not been posted! I have won some lovely prizes and am so, so grateful to everyone, especially kipper. I'm gonna feel guilty all day! sam x
