That's a lovely gesture, maybe it would be better if you took them to a charity shop though I know they can be a very popular item xx0

Not at all mse related but our lovely cat died this morning, at home in my husbands arms. He didn't have to go for the scan or soend time away from us that would have been stressful and maybe frightening for him (who knows). We are doing as we did with his sister and having him cremated and then they will be scattered together.
Back to being moneysaving and sensible tomorrow0 -
So sorry to hear about your cat, he sounded like a lovely old boy who knew he was loved. Sending big hugs xxx0

Right, looks like H will be paying my cc by end of next week-this means I will be paying him the same as I was paying bank but no interest so will really start to make a difference. Instead of the monthly dd I pay the bank I'm going to do a weekly payment to him and then possibly a bit more. I've been making minimum payments to the bank and as I'd paid off a chunk just over a month ago the payment was down to just under £8 this month. I'm planning on setting up a did for £4 a week (£16 a month) so it will go much faster. I hate that he's doing this but it makes sense and he keeps reminding me it's actually coming out of our joint savings so it makes sense. Still not keen
Done a round down into my savings account tonight and now have just under £42 and have started looking at Xmas presents which feels nice..
Still really missing my cat... Feel stupid but my knee feels really empty..0 -
Good news on the savings, you've built that up really quickly.
And it's not stupid to feel that your knee is empty, pets are family and it's hard to say goodbye.

Right, trying to regain focus.
As it is Hs payday, as usual I have done a stocktaking of freezer, we have two but one is mainly an overflow and as we were struggling to close it earlier in the week we really need to get that one run down and defrosted. It is mainly bread and bread products so hopefully we can make our way through them this month. Other day to day freezer stocktake went something like this:
Sausages-48
Quorn fillets-36
Burgers-8
Gammon steaks-2
Falafels-several hundred,
Mince-1.5 bags.... Etc
There's about 15-16 different items in varying amounts... Our local supermarket has had Q sausages and fillets for £1 a bag over summer, hence the build up. Now H is back at work if will go down quicker as I'm always more organised left to myself. I've done next weeks meal plan and will tick off items from list and as there's room in day to day freezer I'll move stuff across.. I'm aiming to get overflow freezer defrosted and ready to go again by end of this month.
Achieved my target of 10 no spend days this month, might try a little higher for next month. Hope everyone's heading for a good weekend :beer:0
