Out of the blue yesterday received a jiffy bag with smart ,I have not been on panel for almost 7 weeks.
I think it must be due to postal delays. The last time I finished up, I received a cube months afterwards and when I logged it, promptly received a query to ask if I was sure that I’d only just received it, given it was posted 62 days earlier.

We will start sending you the new barcoded incentive stamps in your April allocation. Till then we will continue to send you non-barcoded stamps, which will remain valid for almost 12 months.

The amount of monthly 1st Class incentive stamps we send you won’t be changing – you’ll still get 12 1st Class stamps each month. Because the new stamps are bigger, the number of stamps in a book will be changing from 12s and 6s to 8s and 4s – so from April we will send your monthly stamps as 1 book of 8 and 1 book of 4. (Your Large Letter stamps are unaffected – you’ll still get 1 book of 4.) So, the same number of stamps, same value, but in 2 books not 1.

Royal Mail will exchange non-barcoded stamps for barcoded stamps. Royal Mail is launching a ‘Swap Out’ scheme at the end of March where you’ll be able to exchange unused non-barcoded stamps for the new barcoded variety via a Freepost address. We’ll bring you full details in a future Post Script.

  • They think that by putting the note about the Large Letter stamps in brackets, they don't get counted in the number of books of stamps we will receive.  It's not really that we get "2 books not 1" but that we will be getting 3 books instead of 2.

It means you will get your 12x1st in 2 books instead of one.  Which is what I guessed some way upthread.  The useful thing is to know we will get new ones from April and can therefore work out when we can bundle up any excess old ones to swap out.

Handy for me as I'm due to finish in March anyway so I can swap out my stocks as soon as RM give us the paperwork to do so.
I need to think of something new here...

I know what they meant.  It's not really what they wrote.  We'll get 3 books of stamps (2 x 1st (one with 8 and one with 4 stamps) and 1 x Large 1st (4 stamps).

I just received six blue or grey packets – all parcels for posting over the next few weeks. The postman must have wondered what on earth was going on! They filled his bag! 🤦🏼‍♀️

The first sentence of that paragraph says:
The amount of monthly 1st Class incentive stamps we send you won’t be changing
So they are only talking about the changes to the 1st Class which means 2 books of them instead of 1; the Large 1st sill come in books of 4 so no change to the number you get.
I need to think of something new here...
