I have checked my performance on the app and on the section "sent on planned date", I don't have any stars.

Could this be because I post my items the night before, as the post boxes I use all get emptied once a day 9am on weekdays and 7am on Saturday.   Surely I can't be expected to go to the post boxes before these times on the day they are due to go?

Are you recording your items using the app at the exact time you post them?   If you are recording them at time of posting using the app then yes that is why you are getting zero stars for sent on planned date.  You are not expected to post them before 7am/9am but you are expected to post them on the correct day (Wednesday for example) or the same day the following week.- if you are recording them as posted the previous day then you are not sending your items on the planned date.
Bit of a sticky situation then as Kantar ask you to record the exact time they are posted and I thought it would be pretty reasonable to have it in the postbox ready for collection in the morning.  I will have to start going out on a short walk in the morning and post it then.  I don't have a journey to work, as I did before, as I work from home.
Or don't use the app at the post box and record posting the next day from home sometime before 9 am that way you have met their requirements to post on the correct day when posting late the evening before has the same effect. We as humans know that but there computer system was not designed to recognise time of posting as being well after last collection time for the box so will not be collected till the next day.

I don’t think that would be the right thing to do. The whole point of recording the exact time is that post boxes might be emptied at anytime, not just when it says last posting on the box.
The guidance is very clear about recording when you send it, whenever that is.

I just post my items as instructed, if it says before midday I take that to be before midday. If the postbox I use has one collection a day at 9am or 7am and that means by posting at 10.30am, the item isn't collected until the next day - so be it, I've carried out the instructions given for the item still.
TNS have the collection times for each post box so if they really want to dig into it, it won't take a genius to figure out an item posted before midday, but after the last / only collection at that box then it won't enter the system until the next day.

    From the TNS website:
"If you can’t post before last collection on the scheduled date, post when it is most convenient for you. This could be later the same day, or on a different date including the day (or night) before, but it’s very important that you confirm the exact time you posted the item, as well as the actual date of posting when you data enter the item."

So, if you can't post early enough on the actual date due, post late on the day before.

It also means you give the actual date and time (to the minute) that items are posted.

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your help.

I will do that then.  I just assumed that the posting schedule meant it had to be collected before Midday, or whatever the time.  I will just post it and log it then before the time on the posting schedule.

    My bad!

Is anyone else having difficulty reading the guides on their phone? I used to be able to if I logged into the website rather than the app, but it wouldn’t let me open them today on a mobile device - I was looking for the guidance General_Grant posted.
Seems a bit silly to be pointing people at the app then not allowing stuff to be looked to when you need to.

By the way the sentences I quoted are from  the ? Help section.  It's in the second answer under "Sending items".

A couple of weeks ago when I posted a couple of cubes in the mail sack system my local post office did not know what to do with it and if they had to hand the manifest back to me as the receipt I did however give them a photocopy to put with the sack if required.

Apologies, i was going by the schedule that comes through which states (on my paperwork) either 'before / after midday' or 'before last collection-. So i didn't realise they were all supposed to be before last collection of the day. I stand corrected and will leave answers to those more experienced. Newbie mistake, sorry.  :(
