So I’m back on the panel after moving house and a little break...(my 4th round on the panel in total) I’m still getting used to the new website...but I’ve found myself getting confused, it says, for example to post after midday or before midday....(not before last collection) so I’ve posted some after midday even if the last posting time has gone...is this correct?? As sometimes when I go to enter the info online it then says “before last collection”! But how can I know this as it’s too late by the time I enter it online I’ve already posted....am I doing it wrong or can I post “after midday” even after last posting time???!! Thankyou x0

Thanks, oops well I’ve been doing it wrong for the past two weeks! Hope they don’t kick me off or re-train me!0

Where do they tell you this??! It's my first time on the panel and I've been live for 4+ weeks now and no one has told me this.... how are we meant to know
And how are they getting good results if they're not making this clear?
Thanks Saetana!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

If you've been sending after the Last Posting Time - then it will be collected the next available day and the SMART will show this when it's recognised at the depot a day later than expected. If you've logged the actual time you posted - this would match up. A couple of times, I've had e-mails asking me to confirm the time of posting because the SMART wasn't logged until the next day. I guess this would possibly detect cases where the box wasn't emptied properly, or the contents weren't processed promptly.
I doubt that TNS will act - unless they thought you were repeatedly entering wrong times.
I try to keep to the before/after midday; but as Saetana says - if the collection times don't allow it and there isn't a sensible alternative box then all you can do is post early and log the actual time you posted.I need to think of something new here...0 -
D32, I'm not sure you have been doing it wrong, I have copied the following question from the Help pages of the Frequently Asked Questions on the TNS website:
"My local postbox has a morning collection time, but I have been asked to post an item in the afternoon. What do I do?"
And the reply is:
"Please post the item in the scheduled time slot but when carrying out the data entry answer 'No' to the question 'Was this item posted before the last collection time?' and then record the actual time of posting.
Apologies if this has already been said.0 -
What was supposed to be happening was that most or all postings were supposed to be designated "before last collection", this did seem to be happening for a while but now many are showing before/after midday again. I'll send them a message and see if I can get some clarification and will report back when I get a reply.
Edit: Have just sent the message - probably won't get a reply until next week but will update everyone when I do2020 Wins:

For the first time ever I have had to go and pick up a senders pack as it was to big to go through my letter box.
Bag contained cube and contents, 4 envelopes to send, the large white envelope, return smart envelope, envelope with 4 love to shop vouchers 2 books of stamps and 4 printed pages. Got it home and indeed it was to large.
I'm sure I always got the cube previously in a bag on its own.GONE ENGLAND0 -
Agreed - I have always had two grey bags arriving together - one with the paper work/envelopes and a separate one with the flat-packed cube. And the label sheet had one of the ones with my name and address missing as it was on the second bag.I need to think of something new here...0
