Ok back from B&Q - no polished pebble samples which you all speak highly off
........ but I do have Chic shadow, Goose Down, and pebble shore to make a pretty pattern on my wall with !! - also have Warm Pewter for feature wall.
Will post when I get them painted on wall in the morning .0 -
Don't paint the wall - paint on to white paper, then you can move them about and see the effect in different lights.
We use lining paper.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

I painted a bedroom in Earthborn's 'Kissing Gate' and I love it. It's totally grey, no hint of anything else. Quite dark, but I have it in a north-facing room and still love it. It looks a bit purple on the website, but isn't in real life.0

I've just redecorated using Chic shadow on focus wall and Goose down on other three walls. Really like the look of them together.0

those two definitely look well together - on my large piece of lining paper - might b 'the' choice.
Stilll wondering if I should check out the polished pebble though......0 -
I used Homebase silver mist gloss to paint the woodwork in the study last year which gave a nice pale silvery grey colour, it's available in silk emulsion too0

I used in large room Crown Cloudburst breath easy a light grey, no tinge.0

Another vote for chic shaddow from me, lovely proper grey. Modern colour but not cold or lilac!0

Painting has been duly completed and happy to report that polish pebble and chic shadow both appear truely grey with not a hint of purple in site.
Love both colours but maybe could have done with fire breast a shade or two darker than chic shadow, but for now more than happy with end results.
